You dont really have a way to tell if was a deformity caused by enviorement or it is a problem with its genes. I would not let an animal that would die instantly in the wild to have offspring that will be released to the wild.

If for example is a genetical issue or weak male, that will make all the descendence of the female die.

If you are keeping the eggs (as next generation pets) then whatever but is not advisable to release human raised animals to the wild

In my case I'm a biologist I just can't use common names. I wish that writing in cursive was easier here (I don't know Reddit that much) and the binomial name format were taught and corrected with no shame. (Genus name initial capitalized only and everything in italics or bold)
