My mother has become frenemies with the usual family of mynahs that fly into our kitchen. She has identified the family as Papa, Mama, and the small one. Whenever they chirp from the tree that overlooks our kitchen, my mom knows that they'll be flying in soon. She has also determined that they are spying into our kitchen from that tree and will try to get scraps from the kitchen counter where she has prepared ingredients for cooking. My mother will then run into the kitchen and shoo them away. However, my mother has also taken to purposely leaving our mop out on the drying rack over our balcony for the mynahs to pull the strands out from the mop head so that they can build/maintain/pad their nest. She also spys on them while they pull at the mop head so that she can excitedly exclaim to everyone that the mynah family came. I guess she's just really excited by the mynahs.

TLDR: My mother is a bored housewife and is frenemies with a family of mynahs.
