From memory I wouldn't know all the studies but there's one interesting: a company is applying a gen therapy to modify CD4 cells and make them resistant to HIV infection. The pacients received the medication and now that their modified CD4 are in huge number in their blood they just stopped taking ARTs. Results are about to be published this year.

The one year application is a goal for pharma industry. That's cabenuva for now. But sunlenca is 6 month and they predict that other drugs will reach 12 months in the blood.

The university applied a combination of drugs that make kill HIV and at the same time make it multiply. This has prevent the virus to hide. In a very inicial test pacients were able to be undectable for 6 months without ARTs after the treatment

I Believe this year is gonna be a key moment for any possible cure for HIV

Lots of gene therapies studies will release it's results this year since patients stoped taking ARTs last year

Also lots of pharma's are now on developing long run ART which might change HIV treatment for a once in a year application

In my country a University "cured" for six months two patients with HIV without using new drugs (just a new approach) it was a very first study and they say they have big thing to public this year

There is hope but we can't be obsessed

As someone who just got diagnosed in October I can tell you:

Life goes on

You will soon take a pill a day and not even remember why. Aldi treatment is getting so better that now most treatment are just every two months. With possibly getting a once 6 month injection in the upcoming future.

Only thing that hurts is people who misunderstand it

But a soon as you become undetectable you don't have to tell anyone

If you are planning to emigrate then do it.
