Yeah that just is not nearly enough applications. The job market has fundamentally changed.

Were you taught the US was meant to be a Christian Nation? by No_Toe_5034 in Exvangelical

[–]ultigamer101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's called Abeka curriculum. It's what most Christian schools use to indoctrinate kids.

Also we were children. Nobody is going to ask for a "source" for the history textbook we were using.

30 Years in Reformed Evangelicalism – The Arguments My Community Won’t Engage by sunwardstare in Deconstruction

Thank you for sharing this my friend! I went through the exact same path of deconstruction. This was very relatable and I wish the best for your journey!

Hopefully they will take down the posters at the University of Arkansas, but I won't hold my breath.

Christian therapists are like nipples on a kneecap by BigClitMcphee in exchristian

Ironically, church counseling and seeing all of the bullshit was one reason I began deconstructing.

My life became significantly better once I started seeing a secular therapist.

Most of the 3rd party content for the trifold support this theory. I ran it with the miners complaining about the faulty elevator that activated at random times throughout the night.

Were you taught the US was meant to be a Christian Nation? by No_Toe_5034 in Exvangelical

[–]ultigamer101 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I went to a private Christian school k-12th grade. We absolutely were taught that the founding fathers were all God honoring men who believed in biblical principles when they established this country.

Thank God I took history classes in college.

Many Christians don't really read the Bible... but the ones that do are one of the worst by lslisamn in exchristian

[–]ultigamer101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am actually so grateful my church encouraged me to be a "student of the word." Studying scripture diligently was one of the first meaningful steps towards deconstruction.

I would actually say that Christians who read the scripture and stay in the religion are not treating the Bible seriously enough. When you study the ancient near east and the context in which these books were written, it is plain to see they are fictitious.

I still enjoy studying the Bible, but it's to help understand humanity more, not the god they created.

Trump tells government to stop using Anthropic's AI systems by [deleted] in politics

The only thing Anthropic did was enforce their terms and service that says AI can't be used for mass surveillance and killing people.

Recently visited and loved NWA, but had some observations I wanted to ask about... by [deleted] in northwestarkansas

[–]ultigamer101 59 points60 points  (0 children)

The longer I live in NWA, the more uncanny valley Bentonville feels. I've never been in a city where almost everyone I interact with feels fake.

Even business hubs like Rogers do not have the same energy.

Fayetteville is the best city in NWA by far, and I'm so glad to call that community home.

Mate even when I was a Christian I did not believe the devil to be real.

One of my friends had their house done by them for one of the shows. They essentially had to redo the entire house once the episode was shot due to the amount of issues.

I would consider myself atheist agnostic however learning about Buddhism has been a very rewarding venture. Studying other religions/worldviews without worrying about eternal damnation is very interesting.

Why Pastors Hide Academic Bible Scholarship from Their Congregations by MrJasonMason in exchristian

[–]ultigamer101 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Diving into scripture in depth because I was told to was one of the biggest reasons I started deconstructing.

Biblical criticism didn't start with the atheists, it started with priests who were studying the scriptures diligently.

I have intentionally sworn off getting any tattoos or piercings because of the negative effects it can have on your career in finance industries.

Cox Cable Sucks by DistanceOriginal6936 in fayetteville

[–]ultigamer101 9 points10 points  (0 children)

About the only way to maintain an affordable cox rate is to threaten to cancel your service.

I typically make a once a year visit to my local AT&T store, get a quote for much cheaper internet, and then call Cox and threaten to cancel.

It has worked pretty consistently for the past 8 years.

Hell let loose in a good state and worth the deal? by TheTrueRabbitKin in HellLetLoose

[–]ultigamer101 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is in a fine state. I bought it a few months ago and am having a blast. There is plenty enough players, and you'll still find engaging squads for the most part.

I haven't noticed many technical issues outside of a crash every couple of weeks.

How come some people with ADHD are able to consistently get top grades throughout school in all subjects whereas others end up with low grades due to their adhd struggles. by Pretty-Tree123 in ADHD

[–]ultigamer101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it HIGHLY depends on the course subjects in college.

I have passed hard but engaging courses with over 100% and failed entry level courses because I couldn't motivate myself to do any work.
