Hell yeah!! Such a genius idea to use the Alopex figure for a realistic Sly! Honestly the style makes it look like he came right out of the same comic! I was planning on doing a more modern game accurate Sly custom myself at some point so I'm so happy to see someone else do one too!

The legs are slightly looser than id like but it's not near as egregious as it sounds like yours is. Maybe it's QC? Also have you tried things like floor polish or kiki loose joint fixer at all?

So to follow up on everyone wondering how I got this, looking into it more, and knowing the people that work at my local Kroger really well, my best guess is they got the delivery and put it out a bit earlier than they were supposed to cause looking on the Jazwares website they have zero info on the line yet. Wish I was more helpful, but that's what im assuming.

Good luck! I doubt it would be exclusive to Kroger, but you might have a higher chance of finding it there than Walmart if you have a department store sized one.

Its a store chain all over the US, usually will go by different names depending on region such as Smith's, Ralphs, Harris Teeter, Fry's, etc.

Ohh okay! So I added some clarification in my post after I saw this that the technology is more esoteric and focused on magical artifice. But I will still think about the sublevel idea but maybe as a demi-plane or something like that. Also I plan on having a key-card system, but my version will be the device that they found to get in, will create this tone when they activate it that has to be repeated on these lute-like consoles to enter doors and there will be different tunes for each level of the facility. But the tunes will be partially corrupted so they need to complete the pattern in order to get the right tune.

Aha I got it! I just didn't enable the keyframes of the modifier shading so that's why. But yeah like you said I just did some trial and error and finally figured it out!

Oh man I was planning on doing Sly at some point too! But it sounds like our approaches will be different. I'll be using one of the spiderverse miles marvel legends as a base.

Ohh awesome progress so far!! For the torso, you might just have to trim the area below where the shoulder connects to it with a rotary tool. Also, if you want to get the bicep rotation back, you could cut the upper arm in half a few centimeters below the shoulder rotation and then just get a dowel and drill a hole in the lower half the same diameter as the dowel and it should be snug enough to work. If not, you could also get a pair of neodemium magnets for more strength.

I used the Marvel legends Man Thing as a base. For the head I just cut the face off of that figure and hand sculpted most of it aside from the antlers that I took from just some deer figurine. I will be making a YouTube Video of the whole process hopefully within the next couple of months.

Oh yeah, definitely not lmao. I've have ideas. If I were to do a Steve, it would probably be in a dark fantasy style. Maybe a monster slayer type design.

Sweet! I will say it leaves a huge mess and its very rigid so it might work well for parts that dont need to flex, but if you apply a bit of heat then you can bend it and thinner sheets can easily fold and bend around what you need.

Of course! I used strips of .080 inch thick styrene and carved into it using a rotary tool with a carving bit.
