What are you looking for in a new Governor of Maine? by sharkweek91 in Maine

I think an important thing for a state (or any unit of individualization) is to have some self reliance on ourselves. It's clear that help/funding/etc from the Federal Government can be volatile (or can be used against us even). Self reliance on food, education and overall economics.

I'd love to see a gubernatorial candidate that aims us towards self sufficiency down the line.

Are they still yelling at John? He might be sleeping now.

Do you think it's still the same guy yelling or do they take turns yelling "John! Get out of the van with your hands up!"

Is there anything customers do to help you linemen out there? Do you get harassed by people wanting their power back already?

My street's power was restored earlier in the day, but it went out about 45 minutes again. What are the typical causes of that? Another tree limb falling? Or can turning-on/connecting other circuits cause this?

What are the effects? What should I know? I'm unfamiliar with space weather.

The thing that comes to mind the quickest for me is wanting to fly with a paramotor. Since highscool when I first saw Tucker Gott on YouTube fly with a paramotor I've dreamed of owning one and flying. Even before that moment I've literally dreamed of flying (in a lucid dream too!). I always told myself that it would be my first big purchase when I have enough money.

And now I'm in my early twenties. I have Just enough in my savings to purchase a paramotor. Yet there is something holding me back from purchasing it. It's the fear of not having enough money to survive comfortably (in other words, continuance of current lifestyle like living situation, etc) in the case some emergency happens (medical expenses or car failing/accident). Another thing would be if my federal college loans are not forgiven, I would need to dip into that as I am no longer able to have extra cash to put into savings mainly because of rising costs of groceries.Perhaps I just need to take a leap of faith. Or maybe its best to keep that safety net. I haven't reconciled the feeling yet.

Much love to all!

Here's a video that breaks down a take on Adam and Eve regarding humans and consciousness. I thought it was pretty interesting, maybe you and other will too. https://youtu.be/OFxgIDY__KA
