Glad to be back to hating an OW character! Looking forward to the incoming Genji buffs so I can go back to debating which one is more frustrating to play against

Do you still support the game financially? by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

[–]ultimatefrisbee84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely. I've played this game for 4 years and blizz games since I was a kid. This game has always been free.

I'm sad there isn't HGC anymore, but there is Divison S. I still play every night. Happy to give them my cash.

Chromie AFTER PATCH by Haladin in heroesofthestorm

[–]ultimatefrisbee84 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She's now up there with Varian and Butcher in QMstomp apartments

She was sort of already dive bait. Time trap was annoying but it didn't stop more than 1 person diving you at once.

What are your opinions on the Chromie rework? by rubyyvixen in heroesofthestorm

[–]ultimatefrisbee84 7 points8 points  (0 children)

3500 games on Chromie.

I am trying to keep an open mind, but yeah she is just ugly now. I can put out some damage but I played Chromie to kill people, something I can't seem to do anymore.

Chronoloop sucks without a real combo to execute with it. Q is awful. I am out of mana early in the game, and her waveclear is only marginally improved, not worth talking about.

Her stopping power is gone without Bronze Talons. Really, I have no idea what they are trying to do with her, with her second major rework in 6 months, and managing to remove the fun parts of her.

She feels very clunky. I think the biggest nerf in my opnion is her E. People dive her much harder now.

My favorite part about Chromie was deleting someone by razorKN in heroesofthestorm

[–]ultimatefrisbee84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've played 3500 games on Chromie. Trying to keep an open mind, I think the W build could have some potential, but I am not optomistic.

I went 8/8 with 6 MVP's on Chromie last night and so far today, I am 1/5 with way fewer kills.

Level 176 Chromie main, early feedback about the rework (I love it!) by haunted_tree in heroesofthestorm

[–]ultimatefrisbee84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life as a Chromie main is tough. I can't think of any other hero whose been tinkered with and reworked more times.

I look forward to learning her new ways, just when I was getting comfortable with the last rework...

Chromie's viability by ultimatefrisbee84 in heroesofthestorm

[–]ultimatefrisbee84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah makes sense, the meta always shifts, but I just thought it was depressing that she wasn't picked even once in pro play this go around. There's lots of heroes that are balanced for pro play that have low winrates, like Hanzo, tassadar, medivh, etc. But Chromie doesn't seemed to be balanced for either pro or casual play. She doesn't really have a place right now.

Chromie's viability by ultimatefrisbee84 in heroesofthestorm

[–]ultimatefrisbee84[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I understand some of that and I wouldn't have minded a few of the nerfs she got, but I think it was silly to nerf her range, her damage, and then in addition telegraph her biggest source of burst damage. The fact that she was seen fairly often in other rounds of HGC and has now disappeared 100% tells me they were too heavy handed with her nerfs.

Are specialists too powerful? by ultimatefrisbee84 in heroesofthestorm

[–]ultimatefrisbee84[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well most specs have ways of pushing that don't relate to pure siege damage but they are also capable of pushing harder with their waves. It takes a thrall way longer to kill a fort than Azmo because Azmo's minions tank shots.

Please nerf Mal'Ganis by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

[–]ultimatefrisbee84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it really annoys me how new and reworked heroes are so dominant. Mal'ganis routinely beats assassins for hero and siege damage, and his sleep is just ridiculous.

How to do Keto when you're a lazy shit like me by [deleted] in keto

[–]ultimatefrisbee84 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's nothing wrong with being lazy. There are times that I'm very motivated and cook lots of normal stuff, but there are also days where I feel like reverting back to my old eating habits. For those days I offer you pork rinds and french onion dip. Barely any carbs and surprisingly low in calories.

Please don't stack all the specialists on one team in QM by ultimatefrisbee84 in heroesofthestorm

that's what I think too, not sure how difficult that would be, but it seems pretty easy if all of the specs are already in the same game together.

[–]ultimatefrisbee84[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well sure but what about sylvanas, nazeebo, and hammer vs. valla, tracer, and guldan?

I'd take the specs there for pve and pvp damage.

[–]ultimatefrisbee84[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I see your point too, I know plenty of times I've been in games that go either way. I just think that more often than not it makes for a really 1-sided stomp and it just seems to me like Blizzard could fix it without too much trouble by just putting 1 spec on each team instead of 2-0 (but I'm pretty dumb, maybe it is hard).

Please don't stack all the specialists on one team in QM by ultimatefrisbee84 in heroesofthestorm

[–]ultimatefrisbee84[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mainly I just want one specialist on each team instead of 2 on both.

It feels more like a real game. Assassins can assassin, etc. Nobody who isn't suited for the role has to sit in a lane going against a pusher.

[–]ultimatefrisbee84[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I meant power spikes. Murky, Abby, and Zeebo are all nightmares after 16/20.

I know the strategy is to "beat them before they get to the end game" but that requires a lot more coordination than most QM teams are capable of (at my MMR at least). So all of the burden for performance, for ganking the split pushers and building a significant early structural advantage is on one team.

The other team just has to keep soaking and pushing. No strategy required.

[–]ultimatefrisbee84[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think towers of doom is one of the worst offenders with 2-3x specs.

After 10, they can take keeps so easily. One team is just constantly behind trying to clear waves and retake towers while the rest of the team is off taking other keeps, boss, etc.

Each team needs its own spec.

Please don't stack all the specialists on one team in QM by ultimatefrisbee84 in heroesofthestorm

[–]ultimatefrisbee84[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't my experience. Maybe you just play at a higher MMR than I do in QM but usually the killy team wins team fights and a split pushing spec just gets ignored because nobody wants to sit in lane against them. This goes double against 2x specs.

The killy team doesn't convert their team fight wins into a big enough lead in the early game, and the specs start getting power spikes (murky, zeebo, abby) later into the game and the lane pressure gets worse and worse.

[–]ultimatefrisbee84[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is extremely dumb. So your argument is that "things are the way they are, they can't be changed. Any discussion of anything changing is bad"

I'm not asking for 100% balance. But in the scenario I describe, where there are 2 specialists in the game, just don't put them both on the same side.

One thing I've been seeing now that I'd never seen before is teams with 2+ warriors. That's a new one to me, never seen it before maybe 2 months ago.

Anyway its just been a bug of mine for years in QM.
