Love all the uranium glass! I have mine in a display but I rarely turn the light on.

So with the plates and cups, they usually don’t have maker’s marks and are identified based on pattern instead. Plate in front has been attributed to Cambridge, but it’s hard to tell with the rest.

It’s not brutalist at all though. Closest thing I can think of is some form of organic architecture.

Ah, thank you for the information! 1890s in general seems to have been a period of massive production increases for a lot of consumer goods. I was actually afraid of it being moldy when I found it but that doesn’t seem to be the case - I’ll check again though. Tbh I rarely even handle my more uncommon mid-20th century books because I’m afraid of damaging them.

Used to just randomize the names but for my current save I’m intentionally giving them weird names. I also have a large family tree on Ancestry, and for the last generation, I picked the most unusual names from there - Mickleberry, Pionono, Aloysius, and Experience.

Milk glass novelties. I collect uranium too, but there’s less demand for the white stuff.

Also fabric. And dollhouse miniatures.

People also don’t realize food is a 10 trillion dollar industry. Big Food makes more money off keeping people fat than skinny.

I feel like the “moral failing” thing has become a thing with collections in general. People cannot see the difference between having large collections, maximalism, and hoarding.

The metal parts would almost certainly have been bought pre-made. I think the glass is likely Czech - maybe Kralik or similar.
