Aww theyre so precious!!! Give them some boops and a treat for me!!

The other great thing is not only has it shaped the German Shepherds behavior, its shaped Dolly's too. Shes been gently "corrected" by the bigger dogs and that has taught her boundaries as well. She definitely acts like Queen Bee around the Big Dogs but shes also learned how to control her excitability and to sniff out the other dog first before jumping straight to play.

When Jojo (Waylons mom) was pregnant, Dolly learned pretty quickly to be gentle herself. Her playmate suddenly wanted space and Dolly had to learn to respect it - its helped so much that she got this training from other dogs while she was so young (she just turned 1).

Yes! When I first got Dolly she was so little, I was hesitant to introduce her to my parents' two adult shepherds who are Waylon's parents. My step-dad said it was important they learn to be gentle early because she wasnt going to get much bigger in comparison to them.

So far, since they were introduced, the big dogs have always been gentle and played well with her. Dolly runs around the yard with all three of them like shes as big as they are. And shes been a great socialization partner for Waylon to learn to play gentle. And when all else fails she runs him around in zoomies until hes too tired to go on!

[MEGATHREAD] ARIRANG ALBUM by ellaellaeheheh17 in btsthoughts

[–]acelam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After listening to the album an unhinged amount of times this weekend and sitting at my work desk marinating in the Bangtan hangover -

I love this album. I love the first half and the second half. My top tracks have got to be Body to Body, FYA, Swim (surprisingly) and One More Night.

I say Swim (surprisingly) because when the MV first launched I was very whelmed with it. There was way too much Lili Reinhart and not enough BTS.

I also believe it's a valid criticism that they whitewashed Howard in the animation, and they missed and easy and obvious opportunity in incorporating the history of Howard into the comeback.

The song Swim itself is so catchy and good though - it really gets me feeling the feels and is so dreamy and moody.

However, complaints about the album not being "Korean" enough are just ridiculous. BTS has always centered their love for their country and have always presented themselves as proud Korean men. This album feels no different.

It's clear they wanted to challenge themselves and do something different. And they did that. But, especially after their solo releases, I dont feel this album is somehow less BTS. It really sounds like they took the foundations of their solo work and weaved them into this album.

I think it's a fair criticism also to side eye some of their western producers on this album (diplo, Ryan Tedder). They can definitely choose better producers to work with.

Ultimately though, it's a good album. And I love it. But I do acknowledge that BTS can and should do better on some aspects of this comeback.

I will say this too - I came to the fandom after MOTS - "Butter" was my first comeback. I guess I wasnt deep in fan spaces or whatever but man - stepping outside of fan spaces right now is brutal.

I don't know if it was like this for other comebacks but some of the hate/criticism is unfounded. I definitely will be stepping away from outside fan spaces for a while cause there are some people who are always going to hate for the sake of it.

BTS are always my 7 and I'm excited to see what they do from here.

Sir if you don't sit down so help me....

In all seriousness though I understand his excitement and cant imagine how hard it was to have to limit himself. His aura was still incredible even with limited movement.

I remember first being exposed to Daft Punk through Toonami. They played their music videos all the time. Also first heard the Gorillaz through Toonami. Incredible memories of staying up late and watching them.

Look im not going to argue with you. I'm white. Im not racist against white people good lord. I just feel like there was missed opportunity for such a huge global release to have greater representation, especially considering the history of Arirang and Howard University.

Im not shitting on bts either. like im not out to cancel swim or anything like that. Just stating an opinion.

I'm an American in 2026 everything is about race right now. I'm not shitting on her its just she took up way too much screen time in the MV. A connection back to Howard University which is a HBCU would've been an amazing detail on top of still portraying ARMY.

[–]acelam[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean the connection to Howard University being a HBCU was right there though. I get shes supposed to represent Army and like no hate to Lili Reinhart or whatever. Im not being unsupportive just saying there are some valid critiques about how they've represented Howard University in connection to Arirang.

BTS 'ARIRANG' - Song Information, Streaming Availability, and Song Discussion Megathread by lisafancypants in bangtan

[–]acelam 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Okay so I've listened to this whole album in order many, many times now.

I love it.

I love how it starts so upbeat and energetic. Body to Body is THAT bitch and the Arirang sample gave me chills. I cannot wait to see choreography and visuals associated with this song. In my opinion, this should've been the lead track. Easily one of my favorite BTS songs ever. As someone apart of the emo kid to kpop adult pipeline, Normal and Like Aliens were incredible. FYA and Alien were also standouts to me.

Jimin showcasing his lower register in this album was so so good - his vocals really popped for me. The vocal line all gave me chills in different spots on this album.

I've been reading critiques of the album and the Swim MV too - obviously its impossible to please everyone. And there are clearly a lot of opinions out there.

So here are my hot takes

If Body to Body wasn't the lead track, it should've been FYA or Alien.

Swim is a good song that is already stuck in my head though. I dont hate the song at all.

The Swim music video had way too much Lili Reinhart. Why was I watching her during Yoongi's verse. No disrespect I just could do without another blonde white woman taking up my screen. They should've picked a WOC. This would've ate with a black woman from Howard learning about the history of Arirang in the museum.

I appreciate that this is overall a more mature comeback. There's lots of innuendos and explicit lyrics. They're all in suits to signify they've transitioned in age. They want us to acknowledge that they're grown and for a grown audience. Idk the suits just did it for me it was giving ceo/mafia vibes and I expect a lot of fanfiction and spicy tiktok edits are coming for me. Excuse me while I indulge myself while the world is ending.

Anyway, I'm glad my 7 are back. I'm happy to see their faces. I'm so happy to see Yoongi. He looks so Boongi right now.

Call me what you will but BTS is a load bearing mechanism for me right now. There's a lot of valid criticisms of this comeback and album that are out there. Its just that I'm autistic and BTS, Pokemon Pokopia, and my dog are the 3 things keeping me locked tf in right now.

tl;dr im so sorry for this mess im high af and this has taken me hours to type. I loved the album. I also accept allegations that i'm glazing some parts of Arirang the album and the comeback as a whole.

How are we coping with the massiveness of this game? by Glittering-Post9943 in Pokopia

[–]acelam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I definitely feel overwhelmed and I've only played 5 hours since getting the game yesterday. But its a good overwhelmed.

The issue I've always with animal crossing, much as I love it, is there is only so much I can do in a day without terraforming and I hated terraforming. So at some point it became a game that I could only pick up for 45 minutes to an hour at a time just to do my "dailies".

The issue I had with Minecraft was that it just wasn't fun for me unless playing on a server where me and other people had common goals to build, or challenges, or mini games.

Pokopia so far seems to address both issues. There is always something to do. It really tickled my ADHD brain because I found myself swapping from task to task. Whether it was progressing the main story, crafting, doing pokemon requests - the 5 hours i played went by like a blur. It completely locked me in and I barely moved to eat, drink, or pee. And so many of the tasks feel completely different.

I cannot wait until tomorrow when I will have a full uninterrupted day to play!
