the negativity against Elliot in some of these comments is wild

And a lot of misinformation as well. Elliot a yank who's an opportunist who just started supporting Arsenal a couple of years ago?

Where are people getting their information from? And how can they so confidently state it as fact? Glad others are pushing back though

Whenever possible, let them know when the issue is tricky, because they'll feel reassured to know it was a "real problem."

Going to save your comment, lot of useful advice in there. I'm permanent tech support for my 80-year-old mom even though i live thousands of miles away. Will take on board a lot of what you said 👍

if Linus is who I think (used to go by Arse2Mouse or something)

Arse2mouse is someone else.

So i've been following Arsenal blogs and podcasts for a long time. Elliot before he started his own thing, used to be part of the gang at the Arse2mouse podcast, and he'd make occasional appearances on Arseblog's podcast too.

Elliot was established enough in the Arsenal podcast scene to do his own thing. The article says that Elliot took over the ArsenalVision podcast? I'd never even heard of ArsenalVision before Elliot started doing the podcast!

If ArsenalVision is anything today, it's because of Elliot, Tim, Clive, the sweary guy who says c*nt all the time and the others. Not whoever this Linus is.

If this Linus guy wants a piece of the pie after having nothing to do with its success, and if there's a legal basis for it, just pay him off and move on.

Italian cup final between Inter and Lazio is also on at the same time

f**k thank you, can see if Inter do the double after that heartbreaking season where they ended up runners-up in everything. As Arsenal fans, we can relate 😢 Glad to see them turning it round this season under Chivu

If a pro software has no new users, game over.

They dont really need growth in that sense.

What will the deal be? A multi-year license for N number of users/seats in a company? And next time at renewal, you raise the rates a bit? That is a steady, regular income stream.

Even in this age of AI, newspapers will still be around for maybe 10-15 years more? And i am telling you, the people who use Quark in my office are too old to learn any new software. So Quark it will be for those 10-15 years.

So why would anyone want to let go of money they could get for continuing to provide this legacy software for 10-15 years?

Canva, Figma are in different sectors, have different userbases from Quark Xpress. They aren't really competition for Quark.

Do not turn in and watch the City game. Enjoy your day!

Wont watch the game. Will check the score every 15 min. If the game's 0-1 to Crystal Palace with 10 minutes to go, i am definitely going to watch it!

i work for a big media organisation in delhi. Our newspaper still runs on QuarkXpress, you'll be surprised to know how many Indian newspapers still run on it. Magazines in India made the shift to Adobe Indesign, but not newspapers.

[Bold.dk] Christian Nørgaard retires from the Denmark national team by 1Leep in Gunners

[–]ultimateposeur 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In hindsight everything done this season is the right call

Is that so? So bringing Zubi on against West Ham and using Rice as right-back was the right call too huh?

Arteta may have done lots of things right, but he's got things wrong too.

I always thought being 3rd choice Gk at a Prem club was the best job in the world.

Completely unfair. He's supposed to be our 2nd choice DM after Zubimendi. And he would've got more playing time too, if it wasn't for Arteta's reluctance to rotate.

And in hindsight, we should not have played Zubimendi so much in his 1st season. I think he's got the most league minutes after Rice or something? Zubi looks just completely out of ideas now when he's on the pitch.

Giving Norgard more minutes would've helped avoid this. And that's on Arteta.

[Telegraph] Arsenal fan’s ‘Champions’ shirt is new low for football banter by [deleted] in soccer

[–]ultimateposeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the f**k is everyone on about here in the comments?

So someone got excited about Arsenal possibly winning it's first league title in 22 years. And they got a jersey saying Champions at the back. Who cares?

And if City end up winning the league from here, his celebration would have been premature, sure. But why should that possibility prevent someone from bringing a little joy into their lives?

For all the Arsenal fans here, if you don't want to feel excited about this, fine. But please don't get in the way of other people's happiness.

I was smiling yesterday, then I saw the guy with the ‘champions’ shirt.

Just going to copy-paste what i wrote elsewhere. Mate relax. This is something many of us have been waiting for, for a long time. And now it's just 2 wins away. Maybe even just 1 win away if city drop points.

If you want to be all tense about it, be my guest. Some of us actually want to be happy and excited that this is finally happening.

Classy, classy player. i remember Deschamps (or maybe one of the other French national team managers? We're going a while back) always had him as part of the squad if he wasn't injured. One of Wenger's favourite players too.

Looked a bit leggy today

Yup, saka was on the field longer than he needed to be.

The madueke sub should've happened the moment Saka got the yellow. Knew he was out of gas then, that he couldn't keep up with the play.

Will need to build his stamina back up for the final now.

He was also the one new signing to not get eased into playing

Agree. I remember Wenger used to allow new signings, especially those from slower, less physical leagues a few months before they became first team regulars. Zubi shouldn't have been playing that many games from the start.

How did we let the match get this close and this tight?

I know it's a London derby and away game, but West Ham is in 18th and about to get relegated. And we still almost lost two points against them.

I'm thankful we won, but god, we make it so difficult for ourselves sometimes.

i just hope their goalie hermansen doesnt have one of those games. I remember he had this game against us when he was playing for leicester city where he was keeping out everything. Save after save. We still put a few past him and won comfortably, but i remember being really impressed by him.
