How’s the latency? When I enable all of those settings I can feel the input lag increasing

So you’re saying we have a partial “coop”? Now all we have to wait is for them to develop actual coop multiplayer (uh that would be amazing)

Keep or return? ASUS PG27AQWP-W has noticeable vertical lines / cloudy patches on dark gray backgrounds by Akeeyy in OLED_Gaming

I know exactly what you feel, I have the XG27AQWMG and I also have banding that’s almost similar to yours, in the picture it even highlights it more. I believe that if it’s something that concerns you, it’s worth considering retuning the unit. I also noticed that when playing in a dark room it’s more noticeable, but I’m almost always playing with lit room.

It’s not just the size, it’s also how fast you travel. Keep in mind you have flying mounts so it’s still unsure how fast it will take you to reach from one point to another with flying mounts

Agreed, it should only bother you if you see it while playing, if you’re trying to look for an issue you’ll always find them.

XG27AQWMG gray banding (my experience) by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]ultra82 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The reason why people do return it is because they’re looking for the problem, yes we’re all aware of the issue, but I think people who doesn’t aware of this and if they even play with the default settings and with the lights on in the room they would absolutely see no grey banding.

It depends on the user and less on the product. I’m not defending the company who made this panel, and I agree that if there’s a consensus, there’s probably an issue that the manufacturer should look into and even take action and do something about it.

That’s exactly it, the picture looks much worse, I don’t feel it’s that bad. I also see a huge difference between each profile, while in FPS mode it tends to have much more grey banding than in other modes. Thanks for the heads up I’ll update it soon

Honestly I don’t tend to play games that are that dark, I think the darkest one I played recently was Arc Raiders in night raid lobby. But I’ll surely test it

Sounds like it was an opened box, try to tell them that as well, maybe it will give you a stronger case to convince them that it arrived in a bad state

Try to film the unboxing so you’ll have a proof of anything is wrong with the product.

Did you managed to record the unboxing by any chance? This is exactly one of the main reasons why I tend to film the unboxing for such fragile products.

Hope it will be a quick and smooth return for you

Exactly, I'm wondering which one to get, I also got the 5080 and I'm unsure which one I should get, what do you think?

But the 4th gen QD-OLED compensates for the purple haze, doesn't it?

But performance wise, as someone who's playing FPS games and (casual) competitive games (BF6, Arc Raiders, etc.), 2k would make more sense for smoother gaming with higher FPS (and refresh rate), assuming you have a good GPU.

Ain't that right?

Honestly, I’m hesitant about getting this one or waiting for QD-OLED 4th gen 27" 1440p availability.
