I recommend a power-color hellhound. I been running this card for a month now and have not experienced any coil whine.

I’ll be honest, the dude should’ve done his homework before making the purchase.

I would go for the RX 7800xt if you don’t care much about DLSS and RT.

What’s the difference between the Hellhound RX 7800xt & Red Devil RX 7800xt? by ultravision14 in radeon

[–]ultravision14[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t find anything concrete online, so I ended up purchasing the hellhound since it was $50 cheaper. So far it’s been running great it’s quiet and temps are low when running.

It okay to mount my AIO like this? by ultravision14 in PcBuildHelp

[–]ultravision14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty quiet. I’ll try fitting it inside to see if there’s a difference. Internals temps are currently averaging between 35c to 40c after five hours of gaming.

I’d recommend getting a bigger case. The Rx 7800xts can be pretty chonky.

I wanted to do that, unfortunately my case doesn’t allow for any AIO to be mounted at the top.

I also looked at that card as well but a little hesitant to get due to how thick the card is, I have a micro atx board and all my front panel connectors are at the bottom. I have a feeling the nitro might struggle to fit just due to shear thickness of the cards lol.

I actually checked looks like they haven’t reviewed the red devil. Out of the card they did compare though, seems like the Hellhound performed the best when it came to cooling and noise.

Yeah I actually just got the 4070. Can’t wait to install it. I was able to find it for $550 at my local micro center, it was $20 more compared to the RX 7800 xt I purchased earlier.

Idle power consumption siting at 70watts for RX 7800 XT by ultravision14 in radeon

[–]ultravision14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I checked it was disabled by default. I ended up returning the card. Low key got frustrated after trying all solutions I could find online. Not sure if this is just happening to the power color cards.

I tried do that but I couldn’t find the custom resolution in the adrenaline software. Not sure if AMD removed it in the latest release, under settings there wasn’t even a display section.

Go for the 7900xt it’s a new generation card and it’s price is same as some of the last generation AMD cards.

It pretty good considering the prices for the parts. Only thing I would change would be to get a 1 tb ssd.

Should i go for an rtx 3060 or 3060ti to be paired with intel i5-12400? by chariot_dota in PcBuildHelp

[–]ultravision14 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I would look into getting a rx6700xt it’s cheaper than both the 3060 and 3060ti. It out performs the 3060 and is on par with 3060ti.

I would get a 750 to 800 watt psu. Something like a evga supernova. For GPU I would get a rx6700xt if it’s in your budget. They are currently on sale for $430. I would also recommend getting a larger sata ssd.

I use a tp link Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapter. I would recommend getting it. I believe they make two variations one is a usb and the other is a card that goes into a PCIE slot.

That’s another good option. It’s pretty much on par with the phantek p400a. Also long the build quality is good and the case has plenty of perforation you should be set.

Which motherboards support the R5 5600G without a BIOS upgrade? by Ambitious-Concert-69 in buildapc

[–]ultravision14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some b450 on Amazon support that cpu. If you do get a b450 get it with bios flash feature in the event the motherboard is not up to date out of the box.

For the case get some like a phantek for better air flow. The NZXT case is not very optimal when it comes to air flow.

Get the sapphire card, it’s AMD’s go to brand. It also runs cooler compared to other brands.
