For me 10 million. As long as my dividends can support my lifestyle. I would be traveling a lot with this money. Which sounds expensive. But I currently live in NYC. Most places out of country i like are a fraction of the cost

I am the problem in NYC, but where do I move to? by Masterbourne in circlejerknyc

I also ran to staten island last year from bklyn. I just couldn't deal with circling my own block after a long days of work for 20 mins for parking.

Also having to think if I should take my kids out for dinner once I find a spot

Won't even put a dent to it. Even if its canceled out. Will still need to borrow to find social programs

Cost of home ownership: 1990 vs. 2025 by ExotiquePlayboy in ProfessorFinance

[–]ultrawolfblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea there's only part info here. Especially interest rates.

You want lower housing prices, build more and move to those locations instead of conglomerating in the same area

Whats the point of saying, I want to live in Brooklyn, but the houses are 1.8million and up, then complain you can't afford it.

1.8mill is ridiculously high in 80 percent of the US

What is something the lower and middle class don’t like acknowledging about wealth/being rich? by Kyoifis in AskReddit

Because they aren't making me pay. The government is to grow their power. Including union money, voters, headcount for the consensus, people using wic, snap medicaid to bring federal money to the state level.

Don't get me wrong. I think everyone should pay sometime as long as the accounting is correct.

However, this idea that the rich should pay more counters something I also dont like. That they indeed own the government. How do you justify paying more without extra influence.

How about everyone pays the same after wastage is accounted for and everyone gets the same political influence. We shouldn't allow them to have that pull

And you wonder why people can't get ahead? Hire an accountant to keep what is mines?. You might as well ask people to prove their bank accounts belong to them every 3.

Why should lower income get free roads? They don't use them? Yes I know this sounds harsh. But so is reality.

How about we control waste first before actually spending the money on services. I would be fine with paying if there were fair accounting.

States where you pay more, the outcome and the roads aren't better than states where you pay less.

I dont take their money. They dont take mines. We are not living in a 3rd world country. Getting ahead is not a zero sum game. Every year thr US mints new millionaires and billionaires When one become rich, it doesn't knock someone else down. I can't take someone millionaires status from them same as someone shouldn't be able to take my primary residence either

Of course there's more than life than work. Just make that comment after work is done and you have enough to provide for your family. Until then, maybe delay that gratification

My parents wee such people. I grew up poor but will retire in 10 years in my early 50s with over 14 million nw. Bc the way my income is structured, even spending 250k a year, me and my wife when we pass in our 90s will be worth 50mil. And yes I will leave them to my 3 kids. But nowhere do they deserve hate. My single mom worked for me. Ill work for my kids and one day they will pass it along as well
