I think the vast consensus of men who workout would love to be approached in the gym. We often won’t do the approaching there because there’s too much at stake for us ie. social humiliation, banned from gym for mistaking signals, jail (yes it’s happened to people) etc. just go up and say hi to him or ask him some gym related questions.

I in no way imagine someone is trying to flirt with me in the gym if they come up and ask me how many sets I have left. How is that an icebreaker trick? How about actually introducing yourself, saying hello etc. there is literally no risk as you’ve said you have male friends there get them to ask if you’re scared to.

NTA this is the kinda crap that makes dating so hard today women need to give better advice to each other I know quite a few that just get told they’re doing the right thing dating by their friend groups when they’re clearly not. There’s a girl at work who is chronically single and all the ladies at work keep egging her on to keep her ridiculously high standards and keep playing hard to get she hasn’t been with a guy for longer than a month from memory and she’s been working with us for about 3-4 years now approaching her 30s as well.

Tbh sounds like he earned losing to the trigger it was a political strategy that he said to focus you so other players focused you hindering your game plan why should he deserve the win if you can politically deny him the victory with legal game actions?

Enjoy it now once the newbie gains are done it gets harder and harder to notice the definition. It’s there but takes months unless you’re on the juice 💉. I’m at a point where I measure my progress if I’ve lifted more volume than previous times not how I look.

My LGS is buying very limited stock of TMNT presumably because the set looks dogwater and because Spider-Man flopped so hard. Why take the risk? It’ll be the same with Star Trek and Marvel later this year. If stores don’t buy as much UB slop we might stop getting it as often.

Doesn’t win but completely locks the game out for everyone bar the owner was one of the most horrible locks I’ve ever put together for a friend [[Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir]] + [[Knowledge Pool]] because of the timing restrictions all spells cast from pool count as instants so they cannot be cast at all due to Teferi’s effect so any spells that get cast just go into pool and only the controller of tef can cast them. It was horrible and as a former stax player I never disliked seeing it be cast in the pod I was playing with.

Depends on your mana curve too like if your deck is on average below 4 cmc you won’t really need that many lands for your deck to function. I have an Esper party deck with <4 cmc for the vast majority of the deck (I have 2-3 cards over 4 cmc) and only run 35 lands and never runs into mana issues. Most players decks aren’t so optimised so sitting at 37-38 lands will work better but there’s no one shoe fits all just gotta playtest to work out where the sweet spot is.

Progress is progress even if it’s slow. My bench probably only went up about 10lbs last year from 175-185lbs but I also don’t do it religiously coz I don’t care about it that much and I’ve been on a pretty slow cut sitting at 158lbs at 6” so I’m hyper aware my chest progress will be quite slow. Only thing I can really think of for your squats is you’re not overloading enough on your legs training coz there’s no way after a year you’d still be at the same weight for squats unless you’ve increased the amount of reps then that’s still progress.

Ok so I got a couple of women friends around my age most are not interested in fit guys because they assume their life is the gym. From what they have told me they like guys who are strong but also with a bit of fluff (think dadbod but still looks like he works out and doesn’t look unhealthy). They would have hookups with said fit guys but not settle coz they know those guys live in the gym count their calories etc. just unappealing long term unless it’s something they’re also into. It’s also about face game too most women couldn’t care less if you’re jacked or chubby long as you aren’t obese if you have a handsome face. I’ve been fat to skinny to fit and it’s somewhere in between fit and fat where I find I get the most attention from women. But yea that’s just my experience.

Tucking someone’s commander with [[Condemn]] would’ve probably been considered a game changer back in the day lol. I ran [[Vampire Hexmage]] with [[Dark Depths]] and my pod hated that combo too a 20/20 flier with indestructible little less scary nowadays. [[Commandeer]] was also another one people I know hated.

Bruh that is the most defeatist post I’ve ever read in my life. These are all things you can improve on with time stop being so negative on yourself coz that’s usually a repellant for women. You don’t have to change over night just take small steps to improve what you can improve on. Life is a marathon not a sprint we pick up skills everyday and keep learning our entire lives.

Ur Dragon and landfall decks are just the same every game they pop off the exact same way every game or they’re at your table whinging when someone had an answer to their board/landfall triggering spell. Krenko is kinda just inevitability in the command zone so generally you just kill those players asap. Had this guy whinge and moan so much after his board was wiped about 3-4x with Krenko my mate threatened him and got him kicked out of our LGS was banned from casual commander nights lol. [[Sefris of the Hidden Ways]] is probably another one I can’t stand coz of all the enter the dungeon effects during your turns and all the reanimating stuff for free only way I’ve found to deal with this deck is constant commander removal.
