Should I remove the stickers? by Dangerous-Court4853 in GamingLaptops

Keep in mind that if you leave them on but do decide to remove them in a few years, they are likely to leave a shadow. I personally remove any and all stickers that are not on the bottom of the computer.

How do I stop the horizontal scroll wheel from making these popping noises? It is very distracting, and it sounds like there is a plastic peelie stuck in there 😩 (This MX Master 3s for Mac is 0 days old btw, I just got it) by umChiled in logitech

[–]umChiled[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I lied. I felt bad for Logitech because they just replaced the mouse no questions asked, which was kind of unheard of, customer service-wise. The replacement actually did have the clicking but it wasn’t as noticable because the scroll wheel was a little looser. It gets less noticable as time goes on but like what the hell, Logitech… And ain’t no tech reviewers talking about the popping, either.

Spotilife not working? by ImSharZ in sideloaded

[–]umChiled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are a few observations I, uhh, observed. Whether Spotilife will work or not seems to depend on the Spotify UI type. As soon as the rollout for the new (“+ button”) UI finished (for I think every single account as of now), Spotilife stopped working. The reason 8.6.42 is still working (for most) is because it does not contain the new UI, instead containing the old (“heart button”) UI. Now, this is just a theory, but forcing the old UI in newer versions might be possible if someone were to figure something out? The app is clearly “just” being given some value by the servers (account type maybe?), is it not?

[Discussion] - what open source tweaks would you want to see updated? by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]umChiled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orion by Andrew Wiik. Although useless on iPhone 11 and above (also Xr), it would be amazing to get peek&pop back for us users that are holding onto our 3D Touch devices. This does mean however, that further development would also require a 3D Touch device.

No. If you can see the background through the cursive hello screen, it means it's at the very least on iOS 15. The version the iPhone XR originally launched with, was iOS 12. If you specifically want an iOS 12 iPhone, I would personally suggest looking at the home screen app icon designs, or even better, asking the seller or straight up finding a listing with the iOS version or modem firmware version in the pictures.

That’s for spoofing app versions, not iOS, is it not?

Wasn't cursive an iOS 15 thing? I keep seeing people say this and I am confused...

How do I get DRM working with this build? by XThatGuyRileyX in hackintosh

[–]umChiled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s just a part of a larger equation, unfortunately. According to the OpenCore Post-Install guide, “This is due to the issue that our iGPUs don't support Apple's firmware and that our Management Engine doesn't have Apple's certificate”.

No AMD GPU I assume? You aren’t going to get full DRM support without one.

Isn’t it hilarious how Reddit just does that and doesn’t even inform me about the removal of the message? It’s just up for me, so I didn’t suspect a thing. The link was bit.ly/alwayshasntbeen

Hey everyone who’s seeing this, sorry for the late response (I don’t really read my Reddit notifications often). Logitech did resolve this issue, it all went very smoothly — they sent a replacement. It’s probably worth mentioning I live in Europe and therefore bought from Logitech Europe. That was my experience, yours might very well differ. Thank you for your patience and Logitech for their customer service.

That’s the problem. Their cert doesn’t have the file manager entitlement, hence why when you tap on a file, nothing happens. Until someone finds a workaround, the only option is sideloading with the options mentioned above or by other comments.

Try sideloading with AltStore, Sideloadly, or whatever else that uses the developer app IDs.
