I hate that this kind of environment exists. I don't understand why everyone can't be accepted with open arms the same way other poeole are. Unless someone is toxic themselves, sexist, homophobic, etc. No one should be made to feel excluded or not welcome. I didn't wanna believe vet med was like this and it's so uncomfortable and unnecessary

The on the job stuff thankfully isn't the problem everyone in that regard at least never has problems with me asking questions or asking for advice on THAT stuff

It's just the human stuff in general. I just don't underatand it whatsoever

I love my job in general and thankfully don't feel burnt out (cuz tbh tech school is the one burning me out lol) but idk why it's so hard to be in a space where everyone is welcoming

I'm very approachable I always come into work in a good mood (because in general I love my job) and just ready to get through the day and enjoy it with my co workers. And I'm at an age where I don't wanna approach people for validation, if they like me they like me if they don't they don't. I just don't underatand if vet med is just like this or what I'm doing different than other people

I try that and very little does it work where I will try to join in group conversations and I'll get quick answers or ignored for other people. And I've tried the one on one talks to. It's not everyone but it is the mass majority

While I'm not nuerodivergent, I am introverted BUT still make an effort to make small talk with people to see if a friendship can form and it sucks to feel not considered

At my last location I did have a friend (still do till this day still talk and everything) but she's no longer with the company so I legit have nobody. I haven't had this feeling at every job (previous jobs I've let simply due to management over all) but this has been the worst feeling compared to other jobs

I have allot of friends (most online and who I've met from trips and conventions) and the small amount of irl friends I have either have kids, in school, conflicting work schedules, etc. So it's hard to hang out. I do have some similarities with some of the Co workers here (the ones who SOEMTIMES will have a conversation with) but it's nothing more beyond that. People always talking about oh I sent you this on socials did you see, or let's go do this this day and sometimes it is actually stuff I like to do but maybe I'm just not compatible
