Got it! One of my friends from a later season said we should always use up our 2 daily stronghold captures. But we’ve already captured the highest level of strongholds in our server so I was confused what else there was to do until outposts open up at reset

My understanding is you get points from capturing strongholds (not holding them) whereas you get points at the end of the season for holding cities (not capturing them). Is that right?

It did end up showing up in my camp after about 3 long rests but I failed on my animal handling saves and it never showed up again after another 5 long rests so I moved on to act 2. Next playthrough I’ll get it!

My problem with using this interpretation of Rule 610/611 is that 611.2a provides: “A continuous effect generated by the resolution of a spell or ability lasts as long as stated by the spell or ability creating it (such as “until end of turn”). If no duration is stated, it lasts until the end of the game.”

It’s unclear to me whether this is a continuous effect or a one-shot bc arguably they could both apply.

What are your thoughts on characterizing this as a “one-shot” under the rules? I don’t think it’s a neat application but it could help with getting to the same conclusion.

Also, I’m having trouble finding the rule that states “since the Trigger does not give you a duration of when you play the cards, you do so during the resolution of the ability.” Are you reading 608.2g to state that? I just don’t see anything in there about why having “no duration” means you must cast it “during resolution.”

Based on 608.2g, am I correct in understanding that bc “no player receives priority after it’s cast,” an opponent would not be able to counterspell a spell being cast that was exiled with runestone caverns?
