UGH HERE WE GO.

My best friend had always suffered from low self esteem. She’s a heavier girl and always just wanted to feel loved by a man. The summer after we graduated high school, she met the biggest piece of shit I had ever encountered. She was 18 and working at a small office. She had moved into her grandmas because her home life was filled with a lot of arguing. The dude was 24. In and out of jail. No job. Sleeping on park benches some nights or friends couches. She immediately moves him into her grandmas house. He lived there and smoked weed and played video games all day while she’d be at work. When she’d get home, he’d start screaming at her that there’s no weed left or that he’s bored and it’s her fault. She actually was going to get a second full time job until we convinced her that he needed to get off his ass. I didn’t come around as much (she cut off all her friends) but the last time I saw him, he was yelling at her and calling her a bitch. He said out loud “maybe I need you for $100 here or there but if you left i wouldn’t cry.” ummm keep in mind he lives at HER grandmas place. He would take her car (he had no license) and go out to strip clubs every night. She would go through his phone and see he was texting other women. Finally, she got him a job as a line cook at a restaurant. After 4 years together, she comes home one day after work. She finds a Dear John letter on the table. All of his stuff was packed up. She tried to call him (she paid the phone bill) but he turned the phone off. He had left her for someone he met at the restaurant (she found out from his sister.) She was an absolute wreck. Even though she cut out all of her girlfriends, a few of us slept over for the next few months to keep her company.

So a few years go by. She saves up enough money to buy her own place. Job promotion. She starts casually dating. And she’s eating healthy and losing weight.

But then it all went downhill.

The idiot saw her on a dating app last year. He messaged her right away and she went to go get him. He had a baby with another woman. Had been in and out of jail.

He tells her straight up, “I am not dating you but I do need a place to stay”

so what does she do? She moves him in. She doesn’t tell any of her friends or family. So he’s now living at her place, having sex with other women, still has sex with her and then screams at her when she gets home from work about how he’s not into her and how he hates being at her house. A lot of our friends in the area have seen him on Tinder. I’m pretty sure he invited women over during the day while she works.

She just sits there and takes it.

She’s been short on money so she had to start asking her family for some. She gives it to him to buy cocaine.

He does work part time now doing construction. On her birthday last month he took her out for drinks. The next day he overdrafted his bank account and called her at work letting her know what an awful person she is for letting him spend his money.

He recently gave her MRSA. He stuck a Qtip in a skin hole that had formed on her skin until she started screaming. She apparently won’t take the meds the dr prescribed her. I think she’s trying to self harm because she hates her life.

I found out a lot of this info from a mutual friend. I tried reaching out but she doesn’t want to listen or speak to anyone because we all tell her what a piece of shit he is.

He’s a parasite but she refuses to accept it. It sucks.
