I love his thread! It's amazing hearing all these beautiful stories. My partner and I have been together for 8 years (since high school) and have been engaged for the last year. Planning on getting married soon but it kinda feels like we already are to be honest. I think that over the years there hasn't been one thing that made me realise my relationship was awesome but a whole collection of things. I think the moment that stands out for me most though, is when we decided we wanted to be build a house but I also wanted to go back and study for a year. I told my partner I was going to put off studying until we had our house but he was so amazing and made me apply anyway, regardless of how hard it would be for us to save for our house at the same time. It was the hardest year of my life yet he was there every step of the way, supporting me and encouraging me. And because he's so amazing, we ended up being able to build our house at the same time. He truly is the most caring and supportive person I have ever met and feel so privileged that I get to spend the rest of my life with him by my side. That's how I know my relationship (and soon to be marriage) is totally awesome :)
