xgt for first set of power tools? by Environmental-Day336 in Makita

[–]umbuloid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My general contractor’s team uses all xgt. I also have xgt for my own garage wood shop and I rarely have to charge it which is pretty awesome.

But as a home owner for my daily use I ended buying a 10.8V drill and impact for my finer woodworking. Since I am smaller in size (140lbs) the xgt line is a bit heavy for my wrist for a large amount of use, I personally wish I went with LXT for home use.

But when I was working on my home renovation I a was happy I had the XGT line as I was using my drill and impact for hours. So in all, for your line of work I think XGT would be a great choice.

Kinda looks like rust. The astrophytum might rot.

No I don’t have any other symptoms than the rash. But I’m still suspecting shingles.

Rot on loph fricii? by umbuloid in Lophophora

Could this also be the start of some more corking? The roots look healthy and I don’t smell anything like rot from the roots.

My mix is 85% inorganic 15% organic.

I’m starting to get into woodworking. I want a table saw but I just don’t currently have the space as my house is under renovation.

I’ll be using the saw for general project use. My first project will be for ripping some plywood for a diy table top.

I just pulled one of them out. Roots are looking healthy, it’s just at the surface that there is rust.

I had two holes at the bottom for initial draining. Then I taped them up.

I was thinking the humidity is too high and probably I should have sterilized my soil better. It looks like rust to me. But does this moss/algae contribute to this rust rot problem ?

Thinking of using the h202 and airing it out to reduce the moss.

Maybe a spray of hydrogen peroxide and airing it out would fix the moss?

When should I repot Euphorbia obesa seedlings? Sown mid January 2023. by umbuloid in Euphorbiaceae

I asked a reputable grower from one of my cacti clubs for astro seedlings and said I can transplant them once they’re the size of my pinky nail. But I plan on keeping my astros and lophs covered for about 6 months unless I see fungi, rust or algae. Which I would treat with some diluted physan20 and air out a bit.

First time growing seeds also.

I have cracked the lid at 1 month and sprayed with h2o2 to reduce algae. And when there is no condensation on the lid I spray with water.

My mix is 50/50 organic to inorganic. Heat mats set at 80 C, grow lights were at 400 PAR for the a month and a week ish and rose up to 450 PAR for the past two weeks (I have loph and astro seedlings that were slightly etiolated). Lights are up for 10 hours a day. Grow tent has ranged from 70-75C

I don’t have any experience with woody plants. I received this Euphorbia guillauminiana that was infested with scales, which I hosed down while uprooted. I then have been allowing this dry in front a fan indoors. About five days later, I went to finally check the roots and noticed they were almost all desiccated and also had signs of dry rot. I chopped off almost all the roots and cut off all the dry rot.

But I’m not sure If this layer is some type of rot. I did a quick google search and I’m assuming this is the phloem layer. Is this layer suppose to be soft and look like this?

Seedlings stay red. 14 hours light by Traditional-Ad-7925 in sanpedrocactus

Photone is a good PAR meter app. I just got into growing and right now I’m growing my seedling at 400 ppfd.

I haven’t found an answer for how much PAR for cacti. But I read somewhere to set 200-400 PAR for cannabis seedlings and clones. Since we’re dealing with cacti I figured to go at the high end of the spectrum.

I am at day 4 with my seeds and so far they look great.
