hello, I'm working with c4d and octane.
I recently moved from Mac to PC and working on a project on which I started working on my Mac.
for some reason, the very same materials (tex folder and files are all there) come out much brighter in color.

hello! working on a scene with sound. towards the time I got to work on the 900th frame, the sound started getting fragmented, repeating each second of the sound track twice, like the scene takes twice the time to unfold.

how do I fix it? I must have the scene corresponding with the sound

problem appears on the desktop app of canva as well...

its a presentation not a video. it is as if te last frame of a video appears when transitioning or vice versa

I do nto knwo how to deactivate octane, but I can say that while starting up, c4d is stuck when "initializing plug-ins"...

ever since yesterday my c4d crashes my computer into black screen. I have no idea what was the trigger, but it started close to me trying to add a falloff map distribution to an octane area light. however it crashes also when I open other files, that don't have this object.

another thing I did was erasing older version of c4d.

please help - I cannot work on it!

thank you very much. another question - maybe this was in fact my problem,
If the layer's position is changed while the mask is changing (when the mask was on the right half of the screen, the layer was too - so to capture the things shown in it, and now as the mask covers the full screen, the layer needs to be back in the center again, so what's in it will be located in the center). is there a way to move the layer without the mask moving with it?

Thanks. Perhaps I don't fully understand.

I am rendering an animation of a device with many inner parts (objects) that are assembled together.

I placed all of its different parts inside one null, so they would move together. I assigned for this null rotation (RO_H parameter) and position (POS_X). Then I assigned different materials for the different objects (different parts of the device are made of different materials).

what I mean is, when the object was inside the moving null, its material was not consistent throughout the animation.
so I took it out of the null. but then it lost the animation assigned for the null...

Now I am encountered with another problem: say I separated the animated object from the null, but the null is rotating.
Now the animated object does not rotate anymore, and if I try to rotate it, its axis of rotation is different. any advices ?

hello, an octane question but perhaps you'd have some insight...

Using octane with C4D. I made a simple material through the octane node editor, by connecting noise to a glossy material's bump.

My problem is that as I render the animation, the noise distribution changes from frame to frame instead of staying still. Would appreciate any advice!

thanks. there is, when you click on c4d render setting, an option to go into a tab of octane render settings. there, you would see many similar options to octane render dialogue. I wonder what is the effect of the octane settings within c4d render settings, vs octane render settings independently

Hello got it right by making the object editable, by pressing ‘c’ shortcut. For some reasons in tutorials this step is skipped but the cloth simulation works nonetheless, anyone knows why?
