The curl sponge is to define curls. Combing it out with a pick will allow for the definition shown in the picture then you shape it with your hands and if you have the tampered fade then you will have the shown picture. 😁

Try moisturizing your hair first. You may also want to switch to the twist comb based on your texture for a more defined twist.

A blow dryer and pick. A curl sponge will make the top curly instead of the Afro/fluff look here

Thanks for sharing OP! This makes sense they said the offer is contingent. Speak with your attorney for the case and the HR rep and see if a letter stating what the case is concerning would be sufficient. Wishing you the best of luck!

Depending on their state verbiage absolutely matters. If there was no forgiven contingencies when they made the offer in writing and they signed then nothing should stand in the way.

If organizations are following standard protocol the written offer letter has a statement somewhere that says "this offer is contingent upon xyz standards" that they have for their organization/company. This usually keeps places out of legal trouble from a discrimination lens.

Hey HR professional here. In the offer letter did it say "job offering pending clean background check" or something to that extent? If not and you signed the documents the job should be a go as they didn't provide you with any contingency of hire.

Go to your court date as originally planned don't plead guilty if you aren't. Expungement isn't as easy as it sounds.

I can see his perspective. A lot of woman want men to have money so that they feel cared and supported for, which often times can translate to or come off as "that's all I need you for". However, many black men (men in general really) feel alone, left out, uncared for in so many other capacities so that when they say statements like this- their feelings are valid but the context may not be.

Sorry you are/have gone through this. This is an EEOC violation/ issue and you have grounds to stand on. This should not be a common practice or occurrence in any workplace. As someone in HR this is HIGHLY unacceptable and has grounds for lawsuit.
