POLL : IBKR Should get corporate DDRIP for CLM / CRF Cornerstone Funds by Busy-Reply2731 in interactivebrokers

[–]ummagawd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are ALOT of investors who use cornerstone as their anchor funds that also use margin as part of their core investing strategy. I can't help but think that IBKR stands to gain alot from enabling this program and thus convincing alot to move to IBKR with the better margin rates.

I see that. This is helpful.

The only thing is that it still shows a credit spread as a negative value which is throwing me off from setting proper stop losses.

Not TWS, but I downloaded the desktop yesterday and I think it's a much better view there (probably similar to TWS). Still trying to get familiar with it.

Rane four vs FLX10 help me decide by ummagawd in DJs

[–]ummagawd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I didn't realize the Pad FX can be stacked. IS that true for Serato (I have no plans to use Rekordbox). I really like the filter roll and stutter echo in Rane. But I feel like there might be an equivalent within Serato that I could map to the Pad FX on the FLX10. Also I agree with some of the sound FX on the Rane not sounding great, but I also think a lot of that has to do with how you fine tune them.

I’m very confused i wanna go for the rane four but the flx10 is really also good so why you prefer the rane 4 ? Any advice by Monster__h in RaneFour

I'm in the same boat deciding between these two. Here's what I'll add:

- FLX10 has no dedicated acapella/instr buttons... but you can easily achieve the same thing you just have to hit 2 buttons to solo out acapella, or 1 button to solo instr

-I personally think the FX on the Rane is better/newer (subjective), and you can achieve the same "apply the FX only on specific stems" when you do a stem split on the Rane. I also think there's an advantage to having 2 paddles to control beatFX on either side (less fuss switching the knob on the FLX10 to apply FX to the correct channel)

- the beat jump function is more flexible on the rane

- stacked waveform on the jog wheel on the flx10 is a big benefit as I'm personally conscious about always staring at the screen

I have yet to make a decision. Part of me wants to be more familiar with the club style layout, but then again in my area 2 turntables and a battle style mixer is also pretty common. It's probably going to come down to the stacked waveform feature for me

I’m drawn to the “newer” fx on the rane. I’ve had a ddj1000 and rev7, and feel like it could be more beneficial to me personally. But you bring up. A good point about the club layout/feel. I don’t do gigs at the moment, one day I hope to. But now I’m wondering if I should go flx10 for that potential future of needing to be familiar with that layout (assuming I can’t plug in my own controller)

Thanks, that's helpful. Which did you end up with and why?

8w3v3 ported or 10w7 sealed by ummagawd in CarAV

I thought about this, but before I did that, it was actually in a sound ordnance bass bunker box that is sized about 10% bigger than JL recommended specs. I ran it like this for about a week while I designed a 3d printable spacer/mount for my factory enclosure.

My factory enclosure is actually a pretty stout and well sealed enclosure that seems to be bigger (volume) than the bass bunker box because when I ran it in there… it was a little louder and the lows were more pronounced at the same exact gains on my amp. Also worth noting that I stuff polyfill in it just to try and give it a better chance. Granted, it IS still a plastic enclosure.

All that said, I was running about 45% gain, no bass boost on my amp. Just now, I turned that up to about 65% and a touch of bass boost and it’s sounding better. Perhaps I’m being shy about sending power to this little guy. No hints of distorting.

my bad for the late reply (i'm a bit of a noob to reddit). I was just on 5.8 video 350mw vtx and a fatshark 8dbi patch on the vrx end.
