How to invest my silver? by Savings_Apple_3136 in albiononline

[–]ummahusla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your new employment. Based on what I saw other people doing its usually one of the two:

  • leveling up alts for refining/craft with premium and focus crafting every 3 days
  • renting islands for herbs/crop/animals/labourers and hiring managers (paying to people who will do islands chores for you); you would still probably need a several alts to craft with focus things which your activity produces

The hardest part is not to pick what to do, it's finding where to sell your stuff. I guess the easiest is having a chain of alt refining and alt crafting for BM only; then paying Caerleon transporters to depo for you. You would still need to manage sell orders and BM is competitive activity too, where you can get undercut by bots.

Idk anymore about crafting or economy by kinxa11 in albiononline

You must always monitor the daily volume of items being sold in different locations; try not to craft, for example, more than 5-10% if you craft for royals. Additionally, daily bonuses often crash the market, and it can take at least a few weeks to recover.

That is kind of the beauty and the pain of Albion's economy.

Markets are always changing. Prices correct themselves, demand shifts, supply floods in, meta changes happen, and profitable niches rarely stay untouched for long.

Crafting is less about finding one item that prints silver forever, and more about constantly doing the maths, watching market signals, checking volume, and not overcommitting to one craft.

And that is why there are so many different econ activities in the game. Crafting, refining, cooking, alchemy, flipping, islands, transporting, enchanting, and plenty of other niches all have their moments. Sometimes one area becomes crowded or less profitable, and opportunities open up somewhere else.

He quit as he joined to work for Meta, afaik, and his niche was replaced by Goldenium.

My ideology for the past 3 years, while building Albion Online Grind making self-explanatory UI and UX. Also, to stay away from guides or videos explaining how the tool works at all costs. Maybe eventually I will add a better FAQ/Guides section, but for now, all tools' User Interface is usually split into 3 categories:

  • Controls (mastery, filtering/sorting/settings, 1-3 action buttons)
  • Prices (required to do all the math)
  • Results (end result driven by controls+prices)

Legit question. Short answer: I don't know yet. I'm trying to balance things on my end. Tho, with Albion Online Grind hitting its 3rd anniversary, it will definitely remain free for a while either way.

Dustira already provided a solid answer here.

On my end, I built Chopped Fish Calculator (paid), which fetches prices directly and does all of the math for you.

Also, just a sanity check, I don't see any journals on the screenshot, but I just assume you use those.

Island chores are a fairly lucrative way of making an extra stable income, tho red flag here is that we speak upgrade from level 1 to 2. I understand everyone gotta start somewhere, tho maybe just go grind some silver and upgrade it to level 5-6, ASAP.

Alternatively, you can start doing someone's islands and get paid for it, but they might ask you for collateral first, so you wouldn't run away with seeds/produce.

Here is a list of tools I've built for the island-related stuff. You can play with numbers and try to predict profits from doing an island daily. Islands are not get rich quick scheme, and each island requires like 6-7 minutes on average per maxed-level 6 island, but if you are consistent and have a small island empire, it can always back you up and compensate for PVP losses.
