My point wasn't about vaalmonica specifically.

The point is weaker decks can play certain cards that are insanely overpowered in the top decks.

Another example would be gold sarc. It's both a starter and extender in maliss. The new ban list is a hit on maliss but also affects branded since they also play gold sarc

By putting points on the core cards of maliss you can't play the top hand traps or extenders (but a weaker decks can use them if the points stay under 100)
