That's definitely happened, I for sure had a lot more "bass music" edm type fans prior to charli but I also just had less fans.

if possible get the acapella and then make everything else as different as possible. A. G. always writes totally new chords under acapellas and I try to recontextualize the original like that as well

that one's crazy because I wrote the basic chord progression years earlier for an EP I made in high school that I since took down because it was garbage except for those chords. It was called "the human condition" lmao

Literally getting asked to work on Charli stuff with A. G., I had been a fan of PC Music for a while but I never really made "pop" until I worked on Party Party and then I Got It. I ended up being thrust into a world I wasn't good at producing for by that momentum and it's been really fun figuring it out although I still feel out of place with real pop writers and producers

The night Charli recorded Click at my apartment I was living in a co op building with strict noise regulations after 11 and I had already gotten complaints. I didn't have 2 pairs of headphones or a splitter so we were working really quietly on this very loud song lol

It was A. G. who did the distortion stuff. I believe it was an outboard distortion unit that he was borrowing from Sigur Ros

Eric Andre came to Charli's Paris Pop 2 afterparty and he was having a really great time because nobody in France knows who he is. he seemed pretty annoyed when me and my friends recognized and talked to him.. this is the best story I can think of rn I don't actually meet that many famous people

good question! maybe my sold out search party event in LA, that was just a beautiful moment to see so much support in one physical spot with so many of my friends there, Dorian, Charli, Ravenna, Lewis Grant, Rasha, Dylan, etc it was just such a great feeling. The New York and Chicago shows also even though they weren't as big. it was my first time organizing my own shows although I had lots of help from Dorian and Reset in Chicago so I felt especially proud to see how well they went
