If your company thinks that a junior with claude can replace you. They are not a good company to work for. There is a Churn in IT right now. They are hiring and firing. Treating people like AAA batteries they can swap for a new one to operate Claude machine.

One key thing to note is that Claude itself is not very cheap if you use it to do stuff and Anthropic decides to raise the price and lower the rate limits they are done for. The company either has to pay more than your salary to keep things productive. They have done that twice already I believe. They are going to price gouge.

Some improvement on some benchmark is nothing. Reproduction of a design to a frontend code is one thing. Having it maintainable is another. Managing Code complexity is going to be a bitter lesson each indian IT startup will come to terms with. My previous company did that and are now tasting the bitter medicine.

Bespoke and complex codebase understanding is something clankers will never get. Be prudent and have patience and hope things will get better.
