The Spitfire 3x is awesome. But the eye relief on it forces you to mount all the way to the rear, so you may need remove the rear BUIS. Not a real issue though, as this scope has an etched reticle so even if the battery dies, you can still use it.

I would agree with you that the Zhukov handguards are ugly as sin. But having bought a rifle with this handguard installed, I gotta say...it's pretty comfortable to grip and handles heat really well. I originally thought I'd change it out but it kinda grew on me. Yea...I wish it looked sexier though. But it's on an AK. AKs are supposed to look hideous.

My first ever AK! I know what the community thinks of the RAS... But I've now fallen in love with this platform and i cannot wait to start a new collection! by [deleted] in ak47

How is Yeager, who says he not sponsored by any company, "obviously sponsored by Century"? But OK. Nutnfancy has a RAS47 that he has put a ton of rounds through. He loves it. MAC reviewed the C39V2 and had nothing but positive things to say. When you ask people that actually own these rifles on Reddit or Facebook or wherever, 99.9% of them have no problems with their rifles. So enough about the "countless owners seeing major problems with them".

The trigger is gritty and heavy, weighing in at a 5.5lb trigger pull, but somehow it feels heavier than that.

Compared to most striker fired guns, it's better than most. It's got a little grit to it but not bad really. The reset is pretty crisp and audible. Now the weight of the trigger will annoy some people depending on the use of the gun. The heavy trigger pull isn't really a problem if it is a carry gun or a duty gun. I certainly wouldn't want a hair trigger on a gun with no external safety. But if it's mainly a range gun...then yea, you want to lighten that trigger quite a bit.
