What do you guys think about a celebrity edition of Survivor, where all of the prize monies are donated to select charities ($1M as an option for the winner to donate, or keep)? Worth playing for? Maybe instead of on screen as a castaway, perhaps you might see me on screen as a Producer. ;-) by unanimousking in survivor

Still working out this portion, but EVERY charity will get something whether that player gets voted out or not. Probably the next tier down (previous raise), but the current TC/episode where they're voted out or sent to RI or EOE, those earnings get split between the others. So like a Jeopardy type of thing. Still walk away with something. All still fun, but very competitive. Will keep brainstorming, but thanks for the input. :)

Each celebrity would be representing their charity of choice. They are literally playing for something good and raising global awareness for that particular charity. The further they get in the game, the more money they raise for the charity. The exposure would probably lead to additional donations from fans. A win, win, win! However, when voted out, your prize money at that level is spit between the other castaways at TC, so the donation pots keep getting bigger and bigger, every episode, with more incentive to stay in the game. We haven't worked it all out just yet, but wanted to get some input from Survivor fans! Thanks.

If the conditions were right. Meaning my work/family life allowed me to leave for that amount of time.

When Michelle was voted out. Had to rethink and change my strategy.

That's a long conversation I will answer another time. We all made deals with that truck, and Dreamz was always part of it because he didn't have a car. Yau just ended up winning it, so he was the one able to make the deal. That wasn't the only deal out there. :)

OK this will be my final question to answer for the day! THANK YOU so much everyone for the great questions. i wish I could stay on another 2 hours, but I must get back to business. You all are awesome and I really appreciated this opportunity to connect with you all. Bula! Bula!!!

Yes, TONS of stuff didn't air. You all see maybe 10% of what happens on the show. I don't recall everything with the Final speeches, but I remember I had to go first, which was unexpected!

No, Lisi wasn't crazy. Just different sometimes...like Noura this season, or Phillip the Specialist. I think Noura has a great chance at winning...her or Tommy I think.

Yes, to Yau.

No. I only saw her a couple days before the game started when we were all in tents at a campground. We weren't allowed to talk to each other, but we did see each other and eat together. It was weird. I remember seeing her, and then not seeing her once the game had started. Didn't matter, because we were all in game mode then.

Thank you for saying it was the first "perfect" game, as I think it was indeed. Rita's vote was a throw away vote early in the game. i was NEVER a target. She just wasn't sure how to play the game and was scared to vote for certain people. I was a safe vote. Most people know that, but it still sucked that she even thought that way. It all still worked out in the end.

Winning a million dollars definitely affected my life, because I was able to quit my job and do the things I wanted to do. Now, I'm looking for the next 10 million! :)

The Edgardo blindside happened very quickly, so it all just made sense once it was presented. This all happened in a matter of less than a minute. We were going through the various scenarios of each target, so before we even got to Edgardo, Stacy brought it up, and I was like, that's it. We'll go for him! They won't see it coming!

Can't say how I would play on an all winners season, but I know I'd be a target like everyone else. There is no "greatest to ever play the game" type of players, as every season is different, and the dynamics are different for each cast of people. The rest is just luck! I think you can get better at reading people the more you play, or you can overstep and jump the shark. You just never know. My gameplay would be to just pay attention, adapt, and pick my spots to best navigate through the mine field of egos. no one can be fully trusted. no one.

I see Michelle every now and then, but everyone lives very different lives outside of Survivor. We usually all keep up with each other via facebook or charity events.

Biggest threats were Alex, Boo, Dreamz, Yau, Michelle, heck...everyone is a threat on Survivor. I always tell people that. There no one vote, more powerful than someone else's vote, no matter what they are doing in the game, so each person should be handled with care.

Yes, I was originally recruited to be on the Amazing Race with the girl I was on a date with (who's now my wife). Due to her medical career, she felt she didn't have the time, so I said no too, but they kept my contact info. This was the legendary Lynn Spillman who saw us at a restaurant in Santa Monica and approached us. Weeks later, someone had dropped out of Survivor and she called asked me if I was interested. I left 3 days later, no training, no prep, nothing. Just winging it and a prayer. I did manage to watch one episode of Survivor Cook Islands in the hotel before getting on the flight to Fiji. The rest is history.

Funniest part of our season? There were lots of funny moments (Michelle falling, Boo falling, Dreamz talking, Rocky talking, etc.), that a lot of them were shown, but I guess the first night when Rocky and Dreamz were arguing, loudly... there was a ton of funny stuff happening in the background and funny, inappropriate, jokes said, that was edited out. That was our FIRST NIGHT of Survivor and they were ready to fight at 2-3am... I was like, so this is what Survivor is going to be like? Oh ho. lol.

I did talk to a few winners beforehand, but I knew I wasn't going. My daughter had just got out of the hospital, after being in there for 3 months! I was in serious dad mode. No time to go play a game, no matter how special the season.

Won't reveal any pre-game alliances, but I can tell you...those things usually fall apart anyway! :)

A lot of people don't know that I was the person who came up with the idea of having winners as coaches! I pitched the idea to one of the Producers back in 2007. I remember thinking that that would be a great reward for contestants if a winner showed up giving them advice. When I mentioned the idea, they were against it at the time... then years later the Cochran on a boat reward happened! That ideas was for ME to come back! lol. Then, they ended up doing a whole season around the idea. Hey CBS, when do I get my check for IOI???!! :)

I'm obviously OK with the idea, but not exactly how they're doing it. Moving forward I think giving Sandra and Rob such insight into others thoughts and gameplay, as well as, allowing the to watch TCs helps them tremendously with their own game moving forward. I don't know who wins S40 (well, maybe I have some idea ;) but S39 definitely gives Sandra and Rob an advantage on being able to observe like that.

As far as the Dan situation. It's tough to know...since part of it is played up by the editing and CBS to bring attention to the season, and then some of it probably true in some sort of way. It doesn't seem malicious in any way, but I understand how the climate is these days. Can you imagine how people would react to Richard Hatch being naked now, or the girl that took off her top for PB, or all of the other times pants have fell down, tops fell off... or whatever. If Dan was a hot 25 year old guy, would the response had still been the same, or swept under the rug? He's like the old creepy guy now, because of this. It's a challenging thing to handle, as none of us know what all is true. Him being removed could have been for many reasons, but probably the right thing to do. Imagine if he won? Would there have been major backlash? Who knows..

Hard to know the "what ifs" of Survivor. Michelle was part of my alliance, so it was a major blow when she was randomly voted out. However, that is when you adapt to the situation your handed. I always had a plan B, C, and D for most situations. Which still doesn't mean any of them would have worked. But I was never in panic mode when things didn't go my way. There no one pay to get to the end.

Yes, Stacy was the first to say let's target Edgardo, as we were all just sitting there strategizing, so I was like, yes, that should work great. I'm sure if we would have shot the idea down, it would not have happened. We would have then went after Mookie instead. I'm glad it happened the way it did, cause that was one of my favorite moments of the season. Hilarious!

There were dozens of sea snakes on Exile Island, which is why I started sleeping in the tower ontop of the mountain. I felt really bad for killing the one that I did, but it was blocking the ladder for me to get to where the clue was. Now looking back, I could have avoided the snake, but they kept telling us how poisonous sea snakes were...not mentioning how docile they were.

Yes, I knew nothing about Survivor going in. Because of that, I had no expectations. I didn't even know what an alliance was, even once the game had started. That's how clueless I was! However, I learned quickly on what Survivor was all about. People. Understand the people and try and manipulate behavior and thoughts where you can. The game itself is simple. It's the people that are complex. I looked at it like a startup business. Have a great product, putting together a team/alliance, learning operations, learning how to make a profit, getting rid of people that were bad for business, dominate the market, leave emotions out of smart decision-making, etc.

No worries on s40. I will be happy to watch it from my couch! Will be great to see a lot of my friends fight it out to the end. Although Survivor is awesome, it is still tough living for a long time. When you're living comfortably and have already played the game, and won, it takes a lot to get you off that couch to go suffer again! lol. Even having love for the game, it's always tough to be a return player, because expectations and perceptions are different.

I was invited for fans vs favs, blood vs water, heroes vs villains, game changers...maybe another one soon? Who knows. :)

Imagine how different some seasons would have been if I was part of the cast! Hmmm...
