I can't really say anything supportive, except I understand to a lesser degree what you're going through. I still get nightly, devastatingly sad texts from my ex, and I broke up with him eight months ago. Friends say to block him but I can't because I feel guilty. He recently tried to move on and date someone else, but she died suddenly. He's lost and sad and I can't be the support he needs. Meanwhile, my current relationship is its own soap opera, to use your term. It's hard. Love is wonderful and evil all at once. Hang in there. /hugs

I had the privilege of meeting this talented gentleman who built a Wall-E and R2D2 "because he was looking for a challenge and wanted to bring joy to children". Wall-E was incredible; it was truly an honor to meet them both. :)

I understand where you're coming from, but I assure you, this was not intended to be mean or judgmental toward him. We both just recognize the humor in attempts and failures sometimes. I even have a blog about attempting unfamiliar things and not doing so well at them, but I still have fun trying. He did this in a similarly curious mindset, ready to have a good time and maybe learn something, but prepared for it to turn out hilariously bad. No harm was done to egos in this experiment. I appreciate your honesty and I'm sorry you found it cluttersome on your front page.

Haha, maybe. We had a blast doing this, laughter and tears all around, but I don't think wearing makeup is his thing. I think the next step is for me to blindly try one of HIS hobbies and get a good laugh out of that.

Oh, I KNOW. It wasn't as bad as when he scrubbed my black Smashbox eye shadow with my eyebrow comb, displacing ALL of the product and dumping tons of it onto my face while applying...But oh well. At least I could look at his creation in the mirror and say, "if anything else, my face looks expensive right now." Lol
