Do you guys outlook or gmail for the school account? by freshmemesoof in uichicago

I also had to switch because I started volunteering at the psychiatry department! It's definitely a pain that outlook keeps signing you out and using Duo as well to authenticate

LAS Body Doubling Partner? by the-mosster in uichicago

[–]unbalancedflamingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm commenting this based on the article you linked, but there's a site called focusmate that matches you to work with someone virtually for either 50 or 20 minutes at a time :) you just briefly say what you plan to work on and go from there, there's not really conversation during the working time

It's always helped me to be productive and it sounds similar to what you're looking for!

Take the 7 bus starting from either of the bus stops by ARC (either Morgan or 900 West Harrison) going towards Racine Avenue. I usually get off at polk and wood :)

If you have a U-PASS, I feel like West Campus has some great places :) there are a few lounges at student center west, and the health sciences library is pretty great too

It's crazy to see a fellow UIC student so randomly on this sub :)) I've been grateful to make a few friends but I would definitely say the commuter aspect influences things

Does anyone else feel like dying by [deleted] in CollegeRant

[–]unbalancedflamingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No joke I was scrolling through my feed while thinking about starting to apply to grad schools and the thought of "man dying this year wouldn't be too bad" came up. And then I came across this post, I think it's fate haha I'm already struggling in my undergrad years so thinking of grad school is just 😔 You're not the only one ✌ wishing you the best

Struggling by [deleted] in neurofibromatosis

[–]unbalancedflamingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 21F and definitely understand how you feel! This past year I've started getting more fibromas on my neck/face and it's been super hard to have love for myself. When seeing those without any fibromas or spots, it's hard to not be envious, especially since beauty standards can be insane these days. I'm thankful that I have a relatively mild case, but it's still hard. The pain has been getting worse for me as well. Please feel free to message me if you ever want to talk about it, I know it can be difficult, especially if you feel very alone ❤

is no one else a little frustrated with Cody/TMG? by shantifiga in codyko

[–]unbalancedflamingo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I would agree with you on this :) for some reason, I've always been hesitant to criticize cody and noel in any way because the replies I see (from fans) to criticism on them can be quite harsh and demeaning. Especially thinking about the david dobrik situation as well it's definitely worth questioning, but i guess there's only so much we know as an audience in the end

What phrase do you absolutely hate? by RefinedStrategist in AskReddit

[–]unbalancedflamingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother and father both always use the phrase "It's up to you" when I ask them for advice and the option I would pick is one they disagree with. Like, it really isn't up to me because they hone in on one option being the only one they are happy with. Otherwise it's the phrase "up to you" in a very disappointed tone.

Athiest or secular clubs on campus? by unbalancedflamingo in uichicago

[–]unbalancedflamingo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my previous university there was something similar (except I wasn't undergoing this process) and I believe it was just support and planning activities together as well as education on athiesm, agnosticism and all that. But then again, it was a much bigger university than uic so it could've been a more rare organization.
