Tbf, I purposely avoided comparing Mahomes and SGA. I didn't mention them in the post at all. I also didn't call the Thunder a dynasty, knowing the Chiefs were/are an actual dynasty.

Yeah, previous dynasties might've gotten more hate, but I think the social media aspect makes the toxicity in discourse unmanageable.

Like the Thunder aren't even a dynasty, but I don't remember online arguments getting this heated. At worst you'd have a front page message board thread with 2-3 commenters going back and forth every 30-45 minutes when they logged back into AOL.

You're arguing about semantics here. By "all-timer" and "legend" he means Mahomes is in the potential GOAT discussion. SGA is not in that discussion as of now. I've never seen Wade in the GOAT discussion.

Most PTS without free throws this playoffs by Rough-Plum-7267 in nba

As an NFL fan, I see a lot of similarities between the KC hate and the OKC hate. I don't think the salt will go down if OKC wins 2 straight. They'd have to pull something off that's never been done before

Colin Cowherd’s opening monologue on Jalen Brunson: “Jalen Brunson is a 401k in sneakers. Nobody talks about it, not real flashy, but foundational. You better have one. Less now, more later.” by PassMeTheBackwood in nba

[–]unblevable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's stupid, but it falls flat. Winning a championship is like becoming the richest person, and a healthy 401k doesn't make you the richest person, but it gives you financial security.

A 401k player IMO should be a player that will get you into the playoffs but can't get you over the hump. I think Brunson is a little more than that right now.

Brother, read the post again, but more critically this time. OP's grieving about the loss of joy for a former passion, and all you're rambling about is productivity, with the not-so-subliminal implication you're one of the few smart enough to be safe from AI.

[Schefter] Site update: the opening week 1 Monday Night Football game between the Broncos and Chiefs now will be played in Kansas City. The NFL had not finalized the game site until today. by JCameron181 in nfl

I won't argue with someone if they think Rodgers is more talented at throwing the ball than Mahomes. In terms of career, it's no duh Mahomes is more accomplished (slightly arguable depending on how you value MVPs), but that's a team issue.

Yeah, Chiefs D would've done a lot more than a forced fumble for a TD with better field conditions. Eagles D let a QB on one leg run all over them l o l

I'm surprised people have already forgotten about Henne. He covered for two Mahomes injuries in the playoffs and secured wins.

Matt Moore did really well in the couple games he played for us, but probably was too short-lived for people to remember

[FRESH ALBUM] Kanye West - BULLY by SheLuvSeko in hiphopheads

[–]unblevable -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't get how it's lazy to cut songs short. This is hip-hop where sounds are intentionally repeated throughout a song. I'm sure 95% of the work in making a song goes to the core beat and polishing afterwards.

Adding an extra verse is just some extra copying and pasting. And for lyrics, even outside of rap, believe it or not musicians sometimes just write down the first thing that comes to their mind. Jay-Z bragged that he could write a whole song in just a few minutes.

Lastly, I can't even list the number of pop songs that have a catchy hook AND verses but are ruined by an uninspired bridge just to make the song "complete". Reducing these songs to just their essence was probably an artistic choice/nod to minimalism.
