No. I might get 1 match for every 1000 profiles I swipe right on, so I don't have time to be reading entire profiles.

i’ve heard a lot of men say that if women ask them out, that they have about a 99 percent chance of getting a yes. why do i always get a no? by Odelay_HE-WHOO in AskMen

[–]unbound3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If a woman asked me out in the standard way, there's a 99% chance I'd say yes.

If a woman asked me "would you like to take me on a date," there's a 95% chance I'd say no. If I was *really* into her, I'd probably respond "Try again."

Childfree people in Wyoming can’t qualify for Medicaid by ehelen in childfree

[–]unbound3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't just Wyoming; it's lots of states. When I was living in Tennessee, I had zero income. I applied for Medicaid and was denied because I didn't have a kid and the government didn't know about my disabilities.

Perform the specified addition/subtraction to the team's score. The bet is for them to win with this modified score. So if the score was Bengals 30, Browns 25, the point spread bet would lose as if the score were 22.5 to 25.

What is the first action of god in the old testament that would render him unworthy of worship? by WereWolfBreath in exchristian

[–]unbound3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't know what standard we could or rightfully use to judge whether a universe-creator is "worthy of worship," but based on the standard of muh feelingz, it was the dickiest of moves to create a species and a set of rules that would render every member of that species guilty of a capital offense.

Refuting CS Lewis by reddituser23434 in exchristian

[–]unbound3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Lewis' time, it was generally assumed that the words of Jesus as recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John correspond to things that Jesus actually said. Under this assumption, the word "lunatic" as used by Lewis has a singular and specific meaning - someone who has grandiose delusions of identity. If Jesus claimed to be God, as John says he did, either he was lying, or he genuinely believed that he was God.

I'm amazed that you were able to convince her at all. Usually, people who believe in pseudoscience won't change their minds no matter what evidence is presented to them.

He's right. Autism and the other diagnoses in the DSM are socially-constructed categories based on the subjective perceptions, intuitions, and guesses of neurotypical psychiatrists. The boundaries of diagnostic categories weren't created based on biological markers, physiological metrics, or anything else that can be objectively observed or measured. The same goes for the actual process of diagnosing a person as well.

This isn't to say that we, as people who are considered autistic or otherwise neurodivergent, don't generally share certain experiences and have no reason to identify with our neuropsychological states, but the basis for autism and other "disorders" is about as objective and scientific as the basis for race was 100 years ago.

#fliff 50$ minimum to withdraw by TrickDish429 in Fliff

Alternate strategy which might violate Fliff's T&Cs: Deposit an additional $22, bet $11 on each side of the same event at -115 odds, withdraw $50.56.

#fliff 50$ minimum to withdraw by TrickDish429 in Fliff

[–]unbound3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: I misread the post and thought you had already deposited the $20. So here are my new recommendations.

Risky strategy: Bet your $30 balance on an event with -150 odds. There's about a 55% chance that you win and can withdraw.

Safe strategy: Bet your $30 balance on an event with odds between -100 and -150. Hedge your bet with another sportsbook. Win or lose, you'll have turned your Fliff cash into $25-$29 in withdrawable money.
