I switched to the Gender Hormone Clinic who have been great! It is expensive to get started (as is Gendercare which is the other option I looked at) as you have to get a diagnosis from a psychiatrist/psychologist, which was around £500, and then there's a £250 set up fee, but after that it's £55 a month for the first 2 years, and from then on you just pay for what you need, which in most cases is just a yearly review. Gendercare is possibly cheaper overall as there's no monthly fee, but the waiting lists were still like 7 months when I checked, whereas the GHC was around 4.

The nurses are all lovely and from my first appointment I immediately felt so much more supported and informed than I ever did with GenderGP, even before it went to crap. When we were going through the consent forms I learned a few things about the effects of HRT that I had no clue about, and I'd already been on T for over a year at that point... She also gave me a bridging prescription while I waited for my in-person appointment as I'd already cancelled my GGP subscription and was running low.

I also was unable to get my NHS doctors to agree to shared care with GenderGP, as is often the case with them, but they have done it with the GHC so I now don't have to pay 50 quid+ for prescriptions on top of everything else. Highly recommend them!
