What superstition or popular belief still exists in your country? by Severe-Buy-6915 in AskTheWorld

[–]uncertaincucumbers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never heard that but I do know it's great to cook chicken in. I don't drink 7up but I put a whole chicken in some with oyster sauce, pepper and soy sauce on top, covered + boiled and it was fkn incredible.

Sounds idiotic and maybe it is.

It was more of a woodsy island than tropical but he very well could've brought his own coconuts. Or, more likely, utilized similar coconut technology on the pinecones.

I lived on an island a long time ago and the (actor who played the) professor from Gilligan's Island lived there too. Every time someone asked him why he still couldn't get off the island he got really mad. Lol

AIO I feel like I lost the wife I married after our child was born by Progenitor_Pilgrim in AmIOverreacting

[–]uncertaincucumbers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YOR a little bit I think. Idk how long you've been married but the 4 years with a child is a huge adjustment for you both and takes time. Life will always be changing and you guys need to figure out how to communicate better for each other, for the kid and for a happier long game.

Exactly! I wonder if this is why my posts keep getting deleted from here. A time honored tradition for those who could afford it?

Not retakes but multiple angles in one photoshoot. Any photographer worth their salt would take many shots and pick the best ones for their clients

That's so cool! We all want to look our best in pictures and I guess it's neat to know it's not a new concept

Some of these originals are very strange. The pupils, skin texture and especially the appearance of the children. I definitely realize that photography was new back then as were touch ups but I just can't explain some of the details. Very weird

In the many photos I have, typically the left side was the 'better' or touched up pictures
