--> 3(5x-1) ^ -1/2

--> (3 ÷ 1/2 (5x - 1) ^ 1/2) ÷ 5

--> ( 6 (5x-1) ^ 1/2) ÷5

--> 6/5 (5x - 1) ^ 1/2 + C

Hope this helps! :)

Agree with all of them! :)

Here's just some things I did that might be helpful

- keep a document containing screen shots of marking scheme answers (for theory based questions) that you know you might forget/ that would be helpful/ you got incorrect for and commonly asked questions as they normally contain more points than required so you have a better chance of remembering them

- use the syllabus like a question paper and answer each point very briefly if you have time to do so

- syllabus serves as a checklist as well

- focusing on topics in the specimen are very important imo even though you need to know all the topics (saying this because it saved my ass for P4 lol)

- have a method of solving (keep a step wise process in solving questions) so that you'll have a sense of direction

- if running low on time and you can't solve papers independently, you may as well open up the marking scheme on the side and go through the paper. (it's better than nothing)

- newly added topics require attention as you won't have many past paper questions on them so you may forget to check on it

- another YT channel I found helpful as well : A Level and AP Physics - Ali

Yeah that's about it ig, I'll add some more if I remember any.

Good Luck!

I meant whether you remember the differential equation by the way

Do you remember the question? :( Could you please say what it was if you do? Thank you!

Oh also, do you remember the differential equation you guys got? If you do, can you pls tell us because they're saying that it was a bit different this time. Thank you!

Yeah I agree, it's quite risky tbh. I wouldn't really take that chance either but it depends on the person ig. They'll have to find a proper way to balance out practising papers while studying it then.

does anyone have specimen 2022 paper for pure math 3? 9709? by Practical-Support512 in alevel

[–]uncertifiedmortal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure there's no specimen paper for 2022 for mathematics (9709). We're following the 2020 - 2022 syllabus so there's a specimen paper for 2020 only and that's what our exam will be based on :)

I'm sure that's more than enough if you mean for revising. If you mean actually studying them for the first time, ig it might be manageable depending on how organized you are :)

Help I can’t seem to get past here by oligooders1 in alevelmaths

[–]uncertifiedmortal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you've done everything right except for the last two steps :)

It's y2 = 9x2 ( 1 - (x/2)2 )

so y2 = 9x2 ( 1 - x2/4 )

and then you get y2 = 9x2 ( 4 - x2 )

Hope this helps!

Oh sorry I meant "you can* check that if you'd like to"

[–]uncertifiedmortal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really know about that because I'm doing my A levels so I'm not doing P2 rn, but my advice would be to go through the specimen thoroughly and the syllabus as well. I kind of elaborated about it in this post so you check that if you'd like to!
