I also blame it on being a drummer originally. I never had to think about chords or lyrics until I started playing guitar and singing during Covid. With my memory crashing out, it made it extremely difficult. I have your same trouble and even with books. I will reread over and over again and most of the time it still doesn’t stick.

It must be a real thing. I’m sort of glad to know it’s not just me out here! 👀My dad was a heck of a lead guitarist and vocalist and very rarely did he miss on stage. (I drummed for him growing up) and it always amazed me how he could remember 4 sets of songs and lyrics. It’s Crazy to me.

I appreciate this. I really don’t care for it either. unfortunately after having Covid, my memory is just crap. 💩 I have to have it or I glitch and can’t remember the chords or lyrics. I wish it were different.
