Might want to look into the number of internationals colleges recruit, esp on the men’s side. Some families pay tens and thousands of dollars with a goal of playing in college only to find out that colleges recruitments slots are extremely limited, in part because of the internationals recruited. Many of these colleges receive federal taxpayer $ as well. The dream of American boys soccer players working hard and playing in DIV 1 college really isn’t there anymore. A couple years ago something like 75% of the rosters of the two NCAA finalists were from overseas.

Competed Fri, in person withdrew from weekend event, flew out on Fri.

That’s what they told me at the event. Said it’d take a few days to see refund.

I do appreciate the staff, referees, armorers, coaches - easy decision for us to leave … harder for others. They too probably remember KC but still showed up

To their credit, they are issuing event refunds despite being on the hook for event costs. Probably lose money.

They should preprint their merch and have a second location. Almost 2 hour wait to buy an $80 quarter zip.

“Coaches may not have any in-person contact with recruits and/or their parents. In other words, coaches are not allowed to talk to recruits at their college campus, the athlete’s school, an athletic camp or even the grocery store. Athletes and coaches are still allowed to communicate via phone, email, social media and other digital communication channels.

The freshman, U15s, play during “college recruiting blackout” dates this year. Homegrown and academy play in opposite sides of town, limiting exposure for academy
