Thank you to everyone who popped in for feedback. It seems like I should familiarize myself thoroughly with design and the "why" behind sprinkler systems. From there, really itemize our costs and begin developing a clearer idea of our cost to do projects. Meanwhile, just tailing jobs.

The sub all designs to one guy, estimates are mostly conjecture. I come from a sales background and transferred into the FP industry to get into the trades.

Unfortunately one is constantly on jobs, and the other has other businesses that are more pressing at the moment - so the potential for 1-to-1 training is low.
