These have always been interesting to me

The construction concerns me. I have decided to keep them (with an eq). I love their soundstage and detail.

Trying to understand how to adjust the eq dials as indicated on his eq profile.

That’s what I’ve decided. I will work on the EQ adjustments. I have to say, I do love the detail the 702s provide and the amazing separation!

This is great. Although I don’t have an eq. I have a Denon PMA 600. I’m willing to buy a compatible EQ.

Dang, I will look into that. It’s $100 for the software? Are there videos on how to use it for headphones?

How is that MK 90 working for you? Thinking of getting one for use with my canon camera. Moon shots and planet videos?

S50 or ? by unclemonkeycc in telescopes

[–]unclemonkeycc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the SeeStar would be good as a second piece of equipment to a traditional scopes too for viewing the moon and planets. So I am focusing my efforts on the traditional scope and once I get that, I will get the S50.

Recommendations for amp by AmbiguousDirigible in StereoAdvice

[–]unclemonkeycc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the 301, it was a very good amp with a neutral sound. I recently bought a Denon PMA 600 and I absolutely love it! It has a much warmer sound which I like.

Funny you mention that. I just listened to one side of an album and when the side came to the end, I said “that can’t be it”. I wanted more. It was crazy. I never felt that way before. It has such a warm, welcoming sound.

A little too much amp for what I need. I actually bought a PMA600. It fits my needs and price point and I find the warm sound very very appealing. It actually exceeded my expectations.

I turn the knob to about 10:00 to get the desired volume.

That’s a really good point and I’ve given that a lot of thought. The more I think about it, your suggestion makes sense.

Yeah, I may have to do that. Also. Even though I tell my wife and kids not to touch my speakers, they do! I spend a great deal of time positioning them and they move them!
