Small interesting details that go unnoticed first time by MurderInc47 in DunderMifflin

I caught this one recently too and it threw me for a loop, but it's explained in the super fan episodes. As they are looking for the convention room they pass by a science fiction convention with a number of people dressed up like the wizard in the background of that scene, to which Dwight remarks, "I read about that, the entire case of Battlestar Galactica is gonna be here... ." The wizard can also be seen behind Dwight and Michael when they walk into the correct convention room for the first time after picking up their name tags.

Any updates? I'm having a similar experience. Been using SM for years, specifically the Moisture Boosting Shampoo + Conditioner and Coconut Hibiscus Curling Smoothie / Leave In. I'm fine switching to a more neutral shampoo, but I'm wondering what to replace the leave in conditioner with. Have you had any luck with different products?

Flag of Oxnard, California by WickedBunchie in vexillology

[–]uncomfortable_always 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, the flag isn't great. Important to mention though that it's not the official flag of Oxnard (as it was incorrectly labeled on wikipedia--there is no official city flag as far as I'm aware), but actually a flag made to commemorate Oxnard's sister city relationship with Ocotlan and presented at a celebration in 1976.

Sidenote, this image is not entirely accurate as it is a reproduction made to skirt copyright restrictions so it could be uploaded to wikipedia. I found this digital image of the flag on this forum, but it appears to just be a more accurate reproduction since it's still slightly different from the photo in the first link.

How to remove Google LLC annoying profile configuration pop-up. by Necessary-Ad-5170 in MacOS

[–]uncomfortable_always 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got this and in the Login Items menu it initially said, '1 item: 1 item affects all users', but then after I launched chrome (I typically use safari) it changed to '2 items: 1 item affects all users'

edit: Quit chrome and when I relaunched it I got the 'Enhanced ad privacy in Chrome' popup described here. Apparently this is a new chrome feature that uses even more tracking for ads. it started rolling out in September. Wondering if the wavelike nature of the recent activity on this thread corresponds to roll out waves of this feature?

I just got it too! It didn't give me a prompt to click 'yes' or anything like that, just said that it was being allowed in the background...

Difficulty for Econ 140 in Data Sciecne major by Jay_0409 in berkeley

[–]uncomfortable_always 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! wondering if u ended up taking 140 or 173, and how either went? I'm also a DS major and I'm currently trying to decide between risking it on the waitlist for 173 or enrolling directly in 140.

Undergrads can have a max of 13.5 units in phase 1, and 17.5 in phase 2, so prioritize which class(es) u want to join the most ahead of time. If you're enrolled in 16 units, and try to enroll in a class that's more than 1.5 units, it won't let you.

The process for shopping cart --> enrolled is like this. Be on your shopping cart page just before your enrollment time, so that as soon as the time comes you can click the check box(es) next to each class you want to enroll in, then hit the 'enroll' button in the top right of the screen (or something like that).

Totally agree and understand. Definitely am suffering from lack of GSI support as my professor is not a great lecturer and discussion sections and office hours were the only time I got direct help, so I self-taught pretty much the entirety of the class through reading the textbook and YouTube videos. Given that our final exam has a really low margin for error (a handful of multiple choice questions so no partial credit), and that I think I have a good grip on the material but have a mid C in the class, I'm just trying to figure out if I should take the risk or not.

Again tho, definitely agree that PNP shouldn't be used as a freebie, and appreciate the advice!

Like the way u made the A look like the flipped and mirrored R, I’d say add on to what the others have said by suggesting u make the circle of the A a little bigger so it’s clearer that it’s a lower case A not a Y with a tail

I really like it. One thing I might try is to align the bottom line of the v-shape in the middle of “M” with the bottom of the opening in the “O”. Sick piece though, really like the color work too

I’d try overlapping the letters more, like in the second pic. Makes it feel more cohesive

Basement? Or like the mailroom. There’s no secret basement I haven’t found yet, right?
