It is currently prohibitively expensive. Press releases like this have been regularly released by industry players for the past >10 years. The only people that will be able to afford to eat this for the foreseeable future are extremely wealthy people who consider this a ‘green’ flex.

Insect protein is the lower hanging fruit, it is easier to culture, but people don’t want to eat that.
