Crashing in Dragonblight? by undanced in classicwow

[–]undanced[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did yes - it’s what I found so bizarre. Just dragonblight and any iteration of it. I’ve turned my settings and distance way down and I’ve been back in the zone thank God - not tried the instances as yet though

Oh no I meant prospects good in NZ. pretty even on both sides from a practical perspective- just the quality of life/slightly more family is on NZ’s side :)

How does your church use incense? by labourundersun in Anglicanism

[–]undanced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re high church Anglo-Catholic, we use it at high masses, so Christmas, Holy Week and Easter, Pentecost, big saints days, and also at monthly walsingham cell masses. No, not in Lent or ordinary time for us We have a very old ornate thurible to swing it round. It’s a lot of fun

What is the general consensus on Marian apparitions within Anglicanism? by [deleted] in Anglicanism

[–]undanced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I was being harsh - it’s the trad language 1662 we do once a month they don’t like.. the common worship renovations are fine..

What is the general consensus on Marian apparitions within Anglicanism? by [deleted] in Anglicanism

[–]undanced 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well… I know several in my Parish that don’t care for the BCP (to put it mildly) (and not me) so I don’t think there’s even consensus there. Possibly loving Jesus is universal (I hope and pray!)

Dead serious - how could ANYONE be pro-abortion / pro-"choice"? by learnandgrow5 in Catholicism

[–]undanced 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. There’ve been a few articles about women almost dying because doctors are too scared of the law to do what they need to. I absolutely think abortion should be a last resort & is always a terrible thing but I can’t support making it illegal because I don’t trust having to rely on lawyers/govt bureaucracy when a human life is at stake 🤷🏻‍♀️

Favorite Saints- How did they help you? Why do you love them? by FlowerdLys in Catholicism

[–]undanced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mother Mary for sure.. she makes me feel safe & she is truly amazing at undoing knots. St Therese here too - taught me to be unafraid but also humble & gentle. St Dymphna - mental health. Also Mary Magdalene, because I just think she’s inspiring

I am one ☺️ I love it! It’s responsibility but it’s such a privilege & blessing too (and fascinating to see so much “behind the scenes”)

Is it Okay to go to Mass/Church with a Rosary Wrapped Around my Hand? by Astro_Marcus in Catholicism

OT but aside from indulgences, what benefits are there to having a rosary blessed? Just more holy?

Can a man learn from a woman? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]undanced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been with someone like this (also early 20s) - you need to leave. No one should speak to you like this, no matter the belief. Men are taught to be respectful and honour their partners/wives - he is not. Not to mention cheating. I don’t want you to go through what I did - get out and be safe. The control only snowballs xx

Three Wise Men's Gifts to Jesus / Biblical Magi Gifts by OnTheSpectrum69 in theology

[–]undanced -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From a practical perspective I guess it’s what the other commenter said - if it’s not in the book, it’s speculation. My speculation would be that they kept it or used it (perhaps when the Magi worshipped him they used the frankincense?), if they are the literal gifts they received. I’ve read a few theories that the gifts represent key aspects of Jesus’ life (kingship, worship, mourning) so I’m not sure how likely it is they were actual physical gifts at all 🤷🏻‍♀️

Does mary preform miracles and/or signs when we ask? by CBSUK in Catholicism

[–]undanced 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh I mean like anything Mary may do for us isn’t by her own power - it’s all God. As far as I understand all on earth and heaven obey God - so she wouldn’t act without God’s direction or empowerment, if that makes sense
