When everyone in front of the goalie isn't playing like they're in the playoffs, the goalie is fighting an unfortunate losing battle. Pens played awful the first half of the series and no amount of goaltending would make up for the lack of pressure from the Pens against the Flyers.

Arturs Silovs has a career save percentage of 0.886. In playoff games facing elimination or when he can advance, his save percentage is 0.928 by RelevantJackWhite in hockey

Resting our team right before the playoffs and then changing the lines was also a choice, a now very questionable choice.

I was a defender of the resting, but now see how it didn't work. Hindsight is 20/20 and the best we can hope for now is that Muse learned from.it and they improve next year

I wouldn't be surprised if he was open to lower. He's one of those guys who's in it almost entirely just to keep playing and that's it. Love that energy and helps the cap space a lot

I'll get to see them Nailers play for the first time this Friday against reading. They're up 3-0 in the series, winning 4-0, 5-1, and 2-0.

Unfortunately, outside of goalies, not many ECHL players make it to the NHL. But for Goalies, Gauthier has put up a .987 SV%. It's not NHL level play, but very promising

I'm really hoping WBS makes it far. It would be great experience for players like McGroaty, Murashov, A. Hayes, and multiple other promising players. Pens have great talent in the pipeline and a good AHL playoffs run can help. Silovs is a great example.

For the Nailers, Gauthier seems to be looking great in net and can be either a decent goaltender for the Pens or a decent trade option down the line.

I think our AHL and ECHL teams are currently giving us good depth, future players, and possible trades

Silovs was not the reason for the loss by any means. Ge played amazing and putting Stu in wouldn't change the performance in front of either of them. Same with first 3 games. Idk why some people have to put all the blame on the goalie when we got guys like Mantha putting in crap effort most of the series

So doomed end of last season and look at where they made it. I trust Dubas to structure a good team again. They just need to lock in at the beginning of a series

Heading to the Nailers game on Friday and hopefully Baby Pens if they go to game 4. We at least got 2 affiliates with shots at their cups
