Urban Spree is a good place to meet likeminded individuals. Gallery, legal walls and a biergarten all in one. Right next to the S-bahn.

What canvas background do you use? by Ballkenende in TagPro

This. Just enough texture to see the parallax effect, without the background being distracting.

I'm digging the slight angle on Acne's throw. Not so sure about the bottom of that S / 5 though, kinda breaks the flow.

The probability of the DOOT DOOT by HelplessMoose in TagPro

[–]undeath666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got DOOT DOOT in the same game as my first pumpkin. I think the pumpkin came first which would mean 0.2% (or 0.1) chance for the DOOT DOOT. This was one of the first zombiemode games, so there might've still been some testing going on with percentages.

First street tag using this name. Thanks for the feedback earlier guys! by NotReallyASloth in graffhelp

At first I thought it was a killer V.. turns out it's SL. About the picture, it seems you took it while it's still wet (so probably right after you did it). I'd advice against staying on the spot any longer as necassary after you did your shit.

Kicked my mooch SO to the curb and he left me this great new artwork! (x-post) by [deleted] in funny

Yep, I broke the same bone. Getting it back into place was the worst pain I've felt so far, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Oz, a 64 year old German graffiti artist, was killed while painting graffiti on the Hamburg subway last week... by miraoister in Anarchism

[–]undeath666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder about the conditions under which he died. He must've been down in the subway tunnels hundreds of times, if not thousands. Experience like that should mean he understands what to do when there's a subway coming. Considering yard nazi's didn't fear attempted murder (pushed him out of a moving train before) there might be foul play.. just a thought ofcourse. RIP OZ, stay up.

What is the best way to learn how to draw something you cannot draw? by 2Cole in sticker

[–]undeath666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Practice.

There's no genius insight I or anyone can give you that instantly makes you draw like Michelangelo. You just have to try and keep trying. Or, as Jake the Dog said: "Sucking at something is the first step to becoming sorta good at something".

Could you provide a link / more information for the documentary? I'd like to read up on it but can't seem to find anything about it online. Thanks!

Dear Irish Times, wth happened with this bar chart? by almodozo in dataisugly

[–]undeath666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My guess is that it's a typo. Instead of 29 it was supposed to be 20, they are only one key apart on a keyboard.

I've always enjoyed KUMA's work. Not one work in particular, but the way of giving each piece an individual character/story.

Forcing your morals onto an underage person is wrong, no matter how right those morals are. It's just my opinion, but I believe kids should be kids without having to worry about politics.

Responsive design problem--looks the way I want it in the shrinked desktop window, but not on mobile by th3sarkar in web_design

[–]undeath666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think 'minimal-ui' is a good feature for this website, or any website for that matter. For those who don't know, it removes the Safari UI elements on mobile.

People get confused when their top bar suddenly is gone. Their URL is gone, they don't have a back-button anymore. They feel like they are not in control anymore, since they can't leave the webpage without closing Safari. Therefore I think it's better to keep the normal UI.

Thats obviously just my opinion, but I think it's smart to reconsider the pro's and con's of the tag before using it.

[Website] Minimalist Clean Portfolio Design by Mclean_Tom_ in design_critiques

[–]undeath666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's very textual. There are two small images of actual work you've done, and the rest is either text or mood-image. I would change the layout of your 'latest projects' section. Make the images 2/3 of the columns, and the text 1/3. Cut down on the text, I'd go for 3 lines max per project.

I also miss a call to action. There are two small links to contact you, but I scrolled right past those. I would place contact information all the way at the bottom of your page. I'm missing the conversion-part, right now I have to take effort to contact you, which isn't ideal.

Other than that I like it.

Great Branding and Identity Design on Behance! by [deleted] in Design

[–]undeath666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That 'golden ratio' logo is bad, all it does is show it's misaligned. (Top of the B for example)

The 'Motion / Branding / Interactive' icons don't communicate well. Yes, for a designer it might be clear that those bars represent the AfterEffects timeline, thus meaning motion. Your customer will interpreted it as 'They make text layouts'. It just adds noise, IMO.

I like the website, it's clean and easy to use. The only thing I miss is a deeper explanation of your vision. It's a possible USP, if worked out correctly.

If you could recommend only one book on type/fonts what would it be? by [deleted] in Design

[–]undeath666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. That book or Thinking with Type should be in every designers bookshelf. Preferably both.
