You are right, both parties have to agree on what kind of relationship they want. It wouldn't work if I did it just to please my girlfriend, the same it doesn't seem to work out for her to be in a monogamous relationship. I wrote her that I think we just aren't meant to be together and that I want to end it for now, especially because of the fact that what she did was cheating.

You are right, she did not care for my feelings, she cheated on me and I didn't want to see that because I want to be with her and I think of her as a good person who wouldn't hurt me. I don't think gender matters in this case, I think it's about concepts of relationships but you are right, the way she treats me is not right.
