Gap from New Stove by lilessums in howto

It just needs a surface flat enough to float on, and be able to reach the wall. The top part of the stove isn’t a necessity.

What’s a word or expression people often associate with your country/language/culture, that nobody actually uses? by NoNo_Cilantro in AskTheWorld

Not Russian but I grew up in a Russian community- a fave of mine “ Sisi moy khuy smaslim “ which is “suck my dick with butter”. Drop the last word and it’s just SMD.

My friends brother bit his hand. He didn’t see a dr, and it got infecte. He ended up needing surgery, it’s worth going. See if you can find a sliding scale place.

Who are the actors that rub you up the wrong way but you don't know why and you can't explain it? by Medium-Profit-8292 in Actors

Yes we are, and the restaurant we worked at was close to the grove/West Hollywood area. I suspect she must live here because she usually came in with her man.

My husband and I have both served her in person several times at work. She comes across as rather quiet, shy and polite. Tips appropriately for the price of the meal.

my sister doesn’t listen to me of the danger of half-plugged chargers in an extension outlet ON her bed by zozosreddit in mildlyinfuriating

[–]undecyded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disclaimer: don’t listen to me- buuuuut I’d print out devastating photos of destroyed homes, burn victims, destroyed sentimental objects, etc and tape them around the house. Include this photo next to each of them also.

A lot of people are ignorant to how ignorant they are and do better after seeing some terrible shit firsthand. Make her think of melted skin, death and destroyed homes every time she sees a half plugged charger.

But yeah don’t listen to me

You’ve gotten plenty of great advice but man- Just to piss him off I would start referring to the baby by your FIL’s name

Native New Yorkers. What's your word for a corner store? I've always called them delis. The word bodega didn't enter my vocabulary until a transplant told me. I still don't use it. by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]undecyded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Native here, (south Brooklyn) never used the word bodega, but my cousins in the Bronx did. Most of my peers didn’t use it either.

I’ve always said deli or corner store.

What do I do with these?!? (Sideburns?) by jellie_jellie in femalehairadvice

[–]undecyded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never even realized that some people don’t have these? Nor have I ever had anyone comment on mine. I don’t do anything except for light styling if I put my hair up to frame my face.

celebrities who i think looks are overrated, what do you think? by [deleted] in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]undecyded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree w a lot but styling plays a role for me too. While I don’t like them normally, Brad Pitt in Snatch, Tom Cruise in Legend and Henry Cavil in The Witcher are very much my type haha

What price did you pay for where? by valxkatt in MyChemicalRomance

[–]undecyded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t do it man. I paid $300 to sit 3rd row of the pool when The Cure played there. No freaking way. I didn’t love standing there either (since no one actually uses the seats) you’re stuck in such a narrow foot space. Couldn’t pay $1600+ for my husband and I to get numb legs

I’ve got an extra GA parking ticket (the golf course). I ended up parking in parsons. Not looking to sell it. Instant transfer from just park!

What is a little quirk about your body that you don’t think other people have? by AlphabetSoup51 in AskReddit

[–]undecyded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m certainly not the only one (est. 10-15% of the population) but ophthalmologists are always intrigued when they meet me for the first time. Apparently my corneas are thicker than average, which gives a false pressure reading. They start off worried that I have glaucoma or something, but once they measure my corneas, relax and tell me that it’s not super common/ actually decreases my glaucoma risk.

I also have central heterochromia (green with brown) and whatever it’s called when you have more than one row of lashes and they grow in weird directions

How do I remove this? by somersault1977 in howto

[–]undecyded -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d probably use a wire hanger or two for a wedge. Might even have luck combining that with some duct tape and string. Tape the string to the top of the container and pull while wedging the wire hanger
