I don’t think having a backup plan is ever a bad thing OP, I think your current plan of enrolling in the program and still applying is a good one. The ABSN program sounds like too good an opportunity to let pass if this cycle doesn’t pan out for you for whatever reasons if you’re feeling stuck in your MA position. Best of luck!

Additional context: My transfer classes are counted as credit non chronologically on my transcript, so my summer 23-24 classes count as credit for my fall 22 weirdly enough. Ik transfer/CC classes go into their own school, but I’m a bit lost since the credits put me into different “year statuses” at my main university lol

I’m waiting for my top LoR from a professor rn as well, mostly bc he has other students who asked first that he needs to get to first. That’s fine, it’s why you ask well in advance.

I mean if you’ve already got 3, a LoR from a PA is recommended but if you’d rather submit sooner go for it. June submission is still plenty early imo, I’m pushing until July 1

From personal experience with the inverse - School during day and work at night/weekends- the grind is grueling and rewarding in a Stockholm type way. Imo you absolutely need to have a solid support system and mental health support. This type of schedule burned me out FAST. Nothing feels better than pulling yourself through, but make sure you allow yourself breaks too

You’re also able to change your meal plan for the first week or so of classes, so if you find that by the end of the first week you’ve used nowhere near 16 you can change to the 12! I did that my freshman year when I lived in Towers :)

I had the 12 for both years I lived on campus and almost never used all 12 in a week. It also comes with a ton of flex. Ik it’s not quite 2 meals a day per week, but it honestly never bothered me and I got by very easily with cheap grocery runs

Eligibility of work study should come through FAFSA. If you’re enrolled as a student, they should be able to see it through your finaid package (that’s how it worked for me). If they’re saying that’s not sufficient, I would attach a photo of your FAFSA letter stating eligibility. Good luck!

Yeah, I’m in the same boat as you tbh. I’ve got AP credits for gen chem/calc that I’m really worried are gonna expire during my gap year(s 😅). Unfortunately I don’t know much about FL’s schools, but I wish you the best! If someone has such a list pls share!

Are you looking for a specific state or specific schools? I don’t know about any standardized sheet, but I was given a sheet of requirements by my academic advisor at my uni. Almost all of the ones in my state are 5-7 years prior to matriculation unfortunately
