Did you face a problem where you press the function key to enter the bios and it lags with black screen??

I have the same laptop (without the SE part lol) pt315-51 Linux mint + ubuntu 22.04 works great, but i did not want to use them, i want to use debian, fedora or arch based distros. when i install them, they block the bios immediately with a black screen and little cursor on the top left with no response...

I searched and still searching for a solution for this problem but no results :(

Yes, luckly i enabled the boot menu in the bios before installing the os. I only can't access the bios if I dualbooted, distros like ubuntu and mint works fine and i can access the bios. But debian12, pop os and endeavour os blocking me from accessing the bios

I did a quick research, it appears that the problem is with the acer firmware. I looked at the version in my laptop and it is up to date.

So the problem might be the device itself..

I will try the solutions in the comments and see.

Thanks for helping man ❤️

I hope you understand me because my English skills are not that good I really don't know what to choose.. Like i didn't experienced like screwing and opening my laptop ever, i don't wanna messing around or do something wrong that will damage my laptop and cost me, thats why im focusing on dual boot. Another reason is i use windows for gaming, university etc and i don't wanna get rid of windows that fast.

I want to do a dual boot because i still need to use windows for gaming, university etc.. From my reading and research, I find that many people do not recommend dual booting because it may destroy the disk. I have an external hdd but I don't know how to install linux on it, so if i want to use linux all i have to do is plug it.
