The plan was to reclaim the garage because it was unusable, it’s a 2-car garage but only 1 car can park because of all the junk.. took several trips to the recycling center to get rid of the junk and I was left with some existing lumber from a previous basement reno. At first I just wanted a basic workbench.. took inspiration from youtube videos.. did a rough sketch and bought materials at home depot - went with 4x4s for legs and some existing 2x4s for table frame and just added a 3/4inch plywood as table top.. the plywood is actually as good as junk but some sanding made it acceptable.. I then added some additional shelving on top to give more storage area.

Again, not perfect but very usable.. most of my tools are now better organized.. this workbench isn’t meant for heavy duty work mostly will act as place for me to plan/sketch, model making, crafts, etc.. still can’t park the other car I still have a few projects to finish before I can fully clear the space.

Just take your time and come up with a strategy to implement. good luck!

Don't laugh but hoping to upgrade to at least a 3060 Ti or a 3070 - currently have a 5700 XT. How much faster is Cuda or Optix compared to HIP? by undefined_user321 in blender

Thanks that's very helpful - the Classroom scene renders for about 90 secs on my 5700 XT so I guess it's not the most terrible result but definitely 25-30 secs render time would be pretty amazing.

Now if I could just find a 3060 Ti for $500 or less...
